As Alt-coins ruin bitcoins value there is hope.
If you think this is true then I can't take anything you say seriously.
Bitcoins value is not being ruined by the new Alternative coins. This is so far from reality. Where are you people getting these ideas from?
Bitcoin's value was hit in the crash and a lot of confidence has swayed, the speculators are more edgy around these times and every time a large sell or buy happens the markets moves because of panic. The drops that bring the value down are because a lot of people don't have confidence it will keep rebounding, this is in contrast to before the crash when a drop would create a relentless amount of buys bringing the price even higher.
Bitcoin's price is basically the representation of peoples faith in crypto-currencies in general. If Bitcoin does not gain adoption because the crypto-currency model has a flaw that we can't see yet then it is unlikely any of the alternatives alive today will survive.
However I see that future as very unlikely. Bitcoin should continue its trend of adoption and this will pave way for more alternatives to be taken seriously.
