What's the hype about WAVES?

I see everybody posting about waves, and how it'll exceed NEO in the future. I looked into it and from what I can see it's nothing too impressive. Unless I'm missing something...
Anybody care to help me figure it out? Do you believe in it for the long term or short term?

Yeah you are missing a lot...inform yourself more about Waves. If you missed Neo, don't miss Waves...Waves have at least something to show....as Neo is just hype.

There have been so many great news in last few months about Waves, and the news aren't priced in yet...and who knows what else is going on in Waves as the dev releases news when things happen and not in front. You get big news when you expect at least.

I don't see any reason for the waves project to exceed the NEO project in the future because the neo has come with something new for us. Remember the neo just generated gas and that was really valuable to the market.
You can see it in the coinmarketcap. And waves still not released the serious result of their development. DEX just an experiment.

DEX still in alpha but it's a working product not an experiment.

Gas is just a byproduct of having Neos in wallet. It's like getting Waves if you lease them. Tell me one thing Neo has done untill this date? Changed name from Antshares...wow realy something new

I also thought there was a little too much hype on Waves and have been converted since.

1. First, I saw a youtube video with CEO Sasha Ivanov. He is a no non sense knowledgeable businessman and is charting a growth path to complete with NEO and ETH. I expect Waves to eat into ETH's share of the ICO market.

2. Secondly, this has been a great total return investment. Besides price appreciation, you are showered with various tokens so long as you own your shares in the Waves Lite client. Today I received shares of Waves Community Token (WCT) which is a free airdrop for Waves owners. You also have the ability to lease your tokens and earn extra returns.

I believe in Waves long term, albeit crypto is volatile and we could easily have further dips in the crypto industry as scaremongering takes root. Good luck!

Waves will have a bright future for me. Though Im also collecting, holding waves for now and in the future we can earn huge profit. This good for a long term investment.

Lol you are writing the same shit in every Waves thread...who gives a shit that you sold and went for OMG...That doesn't change the fact that Waves are the most promising crypto and as soon as whales are done with their accumulating it's pump time. And than you will realise at 10-20$ that you are wrong and cry to death when they hit a 100$. You must be blind or dumb not to see how much potential this coin has.

I agree with most of these Comments,

I have high hopes for waves.

In essence I see it as going,

NEO - Chinese market
Waves - Russian, ex soviet market
Ethereum - rest of Europe.

I see a lot of people underestimate the potential and value of waves as there are a lot of new interesting coins now but this is just a illusion. I don't invest in those new coins before their bubble is popped.
