[QUESTION] Right Price for an HONEST pre-ICO & ICO

Hello there I was curious if you are a buyer or have experience in running ICOs to get opinion of as many people as possible about pricing in the industry.

I will then compile the information and make it available freely on our website in the shape of a report to help other adjust their ICO & Pre-ICO pricing to the market.

It would also be good to have a database to search ICOs by price / valuation (if it exists link it here please!) if not then I got another personal project on the burner

So the question is :

What is for you an honest price for an ICO or Pre-ICO ... per token let's say. And price range you would not even look at. If you can give me example even better !

Honestly, I generally think that its pre-ico should be banned, it only spoils the market ICO

After having a pre-ICO experience myself and knowing a couple of other projects who did. I do totally agree with you. It is better to go for a seed round or to an institutional investor in the so-called "pre-ICO". Soon there will be a pre-pre-pre-pre-ICO of ICO

And that is more than likely what we will do. Even if we sold, we are currently checking with private and institutional investors who are opened to cryptos technologies to back us up for the ICO stage.

I think that doing so helps:

1- Secure trust in future investors
2- In future exchange negotiation
3- Ensure you are legally compliant so nobody gonna lose money if the government goes after you

Currently pre-ico is set to 30%-50% discount. It all depends from the project. But in personal messages I receive from Linkedin, I will get many offers, mostly from crappy ICO's.

Yes, for the "pre-ico" process its better to go one on one than pesting people with spam. I think a good thing to do would be to remove that pre-ICO phase and replace it with a longer ICO process with bonuses for early investor on a 2 month period.

In fact what would even be better is to bring the institutional model on board in some way like this :

1- Seed Stage
2- Round A (milestone1)
3- Round B (product release)
4- Round C (based on results)

Or something similar with different pricings. That way it can communicate with different kind of investors at different stages. It would avoid spam, a lot of scams too as it wouldnt be possible to get the money quickly without proofs.
