so i got this motherboard (MSI N1996) a psu and a tower right now.

do you think that the MSI N1996 along with 2GB of ram and some ASICs (once they are affordable) would work?
will the motherboard recognize the ASIC? it should i ditch this idea.

ASICs use USB for communication, of course it will work.

awesome yeah i dont know anything about ASIC besides looking at the wiki. what ASIC do you recommend? do you need to worry about driver compatibility?
