It's interesting. But what to do with cryptocurrencies price volatility? I don't think it's possible for now to replace traditional money by cryptocurrencies.  First it might be done in more developed countries.

Although the news is ground breaking but I feel that all the currencies since being centralized will not gain as much popularity as bitcoin. And remember, bitcoin is global!

Yeah seems interesting but need more details to how it will work. Even if it backs to other crypto it is still based on fiat.

Different countries in the world are already in the race to do this. This would be an interesting move by a country which is not well-known (actually, 2nd mention that I heard in my entire life). People will focus their attention to Abkhazia if they'll gonna do it or this is just a news that will be buried into the abyss down the road. We should expect more articles just like this one as more countries will try to create their own coin.  Roll Eyes

Bank of England is working (officially) on Pound Sterling based not on debt like current fiat Pound,
but based on limited supply like Bitcoin.
I am not sure how about supply of this new Pound Sterling ... but, maybe this will be new official crypto, one day.
Who knows. Smiley
