So...Gox has stopped USD withdrawals for 2 weeks, to upgrade?Huh yet it still accepts deposits?Huh

Nope, you can still deposit or withdraw if you verify your identity.  A pain in the ass but I guess not much choice

Nothing in this capacity has changed. And no, you cannot withdraw right now, even if your identity is verified.

Yestreday gox wiki said that it would be (worst case scenario) end of next week. Not they are saying 2 full weeks!

I'm pretty sure you all know what the term "2 weeks" means in Bitcoin-ese.  Smiley

(In case you don't follow ASIC drama, it means "several months up to 1 year")

I'd see to it to get my money out of there. Just saying.

Gox has been telling me for 9 days now that my transfer will be processed "any day now".  Yesterday they told me "by the end of this week".  I'm scared to even ask today.  It's not good, I'm getting verified on CampBX now and will send BTC there to trade and transfer since they seem to be very quick with my test transfers.  Problem with them is their website is painfully slow though.

So let me get this straight.

1. The "system" for withdrawing USD is broken (technically).

2. Yet they can still accept incoming deposits? Just not outgoing transfers?

How does that make any sense? Isn't the system they use for deposits essentially the same for transfers out?

Why would it be a different path or system? That makes like absolutely no sense . lolz

GOX has done this before during the big crash because they were losing to much money. They are like greedy bankers, I despise them.

Isn't their current limit for Coinlab-to-Bank withdrawals like a measly $100?
