I also do not trust this kind of scheme easily. When i am about to take a job using skype i am not using my personal skype account instead i will use a business skype axcount which has different details from my personal details.
It is okay if the person is a trusted or reoutabke in the field of his company or offered job order but if he is almost a strange one i like what you said that you use a dummy skype account so that he cannot do anything bad with your personal identity that he can use in illegal or by blackmailing you.

First I dont know if this is the right place to put this question. I created this one here because some must know the answers to my questions because some legendary that I know more likely to say is a creator of a campaign

I would likely to ask if someone wants to add you in skype (the user that wants to start a campaign) I was interested join in his/her upcoming campaign. I was interested to  be the graphic artist so than he wants me to him on skype.

Is it okay to talk to him via skype? Did someone already tried it?.

Things that come up into my mind:

1.he could use my face my identity to scam other poeple(he/she might screenshot it in the middle of our conversation

2. I want to study if this was likely safe ( I was thingking that only the person I already see in person(my boss for exampls) would be okay
If you want a descent job from a legit company then its okay, and many people tried it already since skype are mostly the chat/conversation process/ways for communication in a job, even on my previous company I worked. And he/she can't use your face for identity thief/scam because anyone can search your name on google and get a copy of it, if there's an exisiting image already except if you gave your personal information, like ID on your conversation well its not recommended tho.

Why wont you bother? since its just skype and your face isnt that too important that it can be used on scamming someone. If you do find out that guy here on this forum with a Legendary rank or high rankings then it wont be problem as long they are reputable on this forum (just always look out for their trust since not all high ranks are legits)  Adding you in skype is really an awkward thing but if you are the one who do add then theres nothing wrong with that.

I agree with you If its a job interview and the person who adds you give information about him/her of the company don't be afraid what kind of job did they offer to you if you see it's a legit job go for it you just need take the risk to be successful but be careful when they send attachments or link because it maybe a pishing link or anything just make sure you check it first.

Actually it does not matter if you can be careful. But I personally because this is risky I will not do it. If someone wants to invite business I think with a message or chat it is enough, so no need to talk through skype. As you said your identity can be used to commit fraud or other actions, if this happens it will be very inconvenient. If you want to do it, it does not matter, but my advice is more cautious and maybe try to let you know the person's face first.

We don't know if the person who offers you a job has a bad intention or good but to be safe you can fake your identity then don't go with skype you can talk with a call or in a messenger. Actually there isa lot tobe safeway than to risk your identity in someone who is strange.

I'm a skype user, i never create a real account of me the reason is i transaction with some strangers on internet, and i'm very scared to showing my face, i usually make a call if we're talking about the business, yeah the privacy is number one, just never showing your face they (the scammer) can screenshoot it, create a fake id, claim your account (like on exchanger) or doing something bad with it, telegram is another option i think.

That would be the safest thing for us to do since their are so many frauds using skype just to make people believe that they are legit, And their are other as you said that can steal your identity and they will surely use it from different bad schemes around here so better we should be more vigilant upon using skype and use dummy all the times.

Most of the time it's probably a scam. You'll get nothing out of it and they'll get a ton. There are more legitimate ways to get a hold of you and way more secure ways of course.

If it is a job interview, most likely they would prefer it to be a video interview. That's normal. I've been there and it's all right. I mean the both of you will have to somehow meet the other and feel comfortable that's why a video interview is preferable.

However, you will have to do your own share of assignment also. Make sure that the project you are interested with is trusted and reliable. Do some research and read their profile and the likes. If you are in serious doubt then it is your choice not to proceed.

Well i guess for me that depends on the member itself if he was some good reputation in the forum site but only if the campaign urgently requires it, i dont see any reasons why would someone asked me to skype when we can chat normally in pm's if that person has no real important reason why would we skype then i would not agree with him. Some people may try to try to identify you in making calls in skype so they can try to impersonate you, identify what country you are from, accent and native tongue you use then do some information gathering about you.

There is no problem with it if you are applying for a job, just make sure that you applied with a right person ask them whats the name of the interviewer and what company they are so that you may actually know if they are telling the truth or not, we can figure out by ourselves if the interviewer is legit or not.

Using skype is pretty much risky for our own identity if the people have clean intention to have a deal with us maybe he would surely agree to those other messaging app like telegram, whatsapp and other more. But if people doubting for using this kind of conversation and your counter part push it then you should turn those offer off for identity safety purposes.

Most of the campaign manager and traders are also having Skype account using it alone bitcoin project purposes alone. You can create any Skype with the different location added on it. No one gonna check you that with the location details.

I don't think it's necessary.. Because if I want to join a campaign certain to get more jobs, I just need to express bicoin. There I found information and work in accordance with I. How about you?

I would not worry too much about adding someone on skype. Usually nothing suspicious or bad will ever happen, but of course there can be odd occasions. As mentioned before, be sure to not click on suspicious links or any files that have been sent to your account. Doing so might compromise the overall account security. If you are really paranoid, you could make a 'fake', alternate skype account to hide your identity. On top of that, you can buy a VPN subscription to hide your real IP.

And if you are really scared, you can do everything above while running it in a virtual machine.

Do not use skipe if you are interested about your safety and your privacy since you are exposing yourself too much by talking to someone that you do not know who he is.
