hmmm Probably..! or probably not.. Everything is on btcman chinese forum which we both can't understand. Also, If you read the thread that you gave. Gridchip posted those pics to prove what he has done in the past which means he is proving his capabilities to go solo and get funding / find new partner.
Also, if gridchip had split from avalon and this is the new 40nm chips, then he had no reason to put avalon logo on each chip.
There is another thread somewhere from where i picked up these pics and it is being discussed there that it is the avalon chips that is on order.
Nevertheless, my point was.. whether it is sold by Avalon / Gridchips. They are all made for btc mining (SHA256) ready to go into some kind of mining equipment.
I sense a hell a lot of diff increase in the coming months.! Def it will be a bloodbath.!
