If you find the correct cryptonight coins (the ones that forked) they are more profitable then ETH atm.

Ethereum for the moment but I am not sure how many time will it last as they have been saying from quite sometime that Ethereum will go to Pos soon.

Still even if it does soon your RX 580 can play well in mining Monero and other cryptonight coins plus Zcash. These are your left options. And even if Ethereum goes soon into Pos you have other Ethhash coins like ETC,MUSIC,EXP,UBIQ and PIRL so a lot of other options.

There are other algos good for RX 580. Tons of options. I won't name all because I don't want competion, but Neoscrypt is also good (although power consumption is terrible with that algo) then you have Lyra2z on Linux (a new miner there). X16r, X16s and X17 are also good with recently optimized miners. Quite a few options if you ask me. There is also quite a lot of uknown CN coins that you can daily trade with great profit into something else.

i hope with the Electroneum fork at the end of the month, Electroneum can be again the best mining coin.

What's is the fork of Cryptonight you are talking about MinedTangerine ?

First thing is that you need to tuneup you video card for some algorithm, research about biosmod.
Topic from Mattthev: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0

Its in function of which card you bought and how much you are paying energy and how good you are at setting up the card. So you need to study, at least a little.

In order to understand what to use and what you have to learn to setup use go to whattomine and cryptunit.

If you don't pay energy, Neoscript is also a good choice. Gobyte can be a safe bet

If you pay energy a lot , mine Cryptonight, I will say Sumokoin if you have an 8gb card and Monero if you have an 4Gb. ( don't ask me why, try and see by yourself:) )

If you want to follow what everybody does, simply mine Ethereum + Xvg with Claymore as a miner or Phoenix if you decide to mine only ethereum. Just Ethereum will bring you (TODAY!) 1$ net/day/card.

I mine Ubiq as I believe in the project long term. I had a lot of AMEX points built up over the years so decided to use the points to buy the rig. Spent around $3k (in point value not actual cash) to get a 6 GPU rig set up. Being new I literally had zero knowledge about mining but had been reading up on crypto and mining since January of 2018. But I knew I wanted to find away to get involved and invested into something that might likely see a high return in the future.

Anyway I purchased 6 Diamond rx580's 8gb GPU's off amazon along with 2 PSU's and a Asrock Pro BTC H81 with a cheap intel processor. (I know..."Diamond" --- seems no ones heard of them but I promise these GPU's do exist). I've been mining Ubiq for about a month now and while I'm still tweaking my rig I get between 3.5 - 4.5 Ubiq per day. On around 175 Mh/s average in the pool. I pay about .0571 kw per hour where I live so I think that's about average in the U.S. And since I didn't really spend anything for the rig; I wanted to get involved in a "mine & hold" coin that I think has a real future. Lastly I'm pulling about 850 watts from the wall.

Hope these are some facts to help you make a decision.

Also, I love Maxhash and mine Ubiq in their pool. They are great, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They do jackpot giveaways weekly and only charge a fee if the pool produces.

UBIQ is a really great project, but I think there are many other projects like ubiq with greater popularity.
In terms of mining - there are a lot of cryptonight-heavy coins, which are insanely profitable to be mined and RX580s are top-notch cards for this algorithm. If you are an ETH believer, you can always mine other coins and buy ETH afterwards. It should yield you 2-3$ more.
That's at least what I'm doing Cheesy

Correct on Ubiq not having as much popularity. They are a project with a focus on stability for businesses and enterprises that can use their fully vetted platform without the fear of bugs or issues since they are meticulous in testing for stability before adopting new features. Sometimes this hurts them in the near term as there isn't much news but I feel the careful and tactful approach will benefit them in the future.

Of course anyone would have to make their own opinion and do their own research but I do think in the coming years they are going to continue to gain relevance.

A side note is their Escher drops they are awarding for Ubiq holdings which will allow for voting and governance through their community.

Cleary I'm a believer in Ubiq but as previous post said, their are plenty of great options to chose from. Chose one that you think you will most benefit from or want to be involved in.

First, i look back at the electricity bill one month ago and the prediction of electricity payment for next month also sees the current price of a coin whether is still has a profit, if yes it's the best coin and I conclude ETH, ETC, also XMR is the best coin for RX580.

Also don´t forget to check Cryptonote coins here: https://www.cryptunit.com
some of them are not even listed in whattomine.com so from time to time I check it and make some calculations... But at the moment I´m mining ETH too.

Yeah, the coins we consider the best and profitable isn't necessarily profitable to others because there is a factor of electricity costs that each region and country are different.

can you please explain what you mean by $2-$3? Is it per rig or per card ?

It's a bad suggestions to find profitable with RX580, as far as i know, ETN has a low price when comparing ETH/ETC prices but if advice for about coin difficulty is sure the ETN has a lower difficulty.

I believe, eth i still good choice if you are using RX 580, I have 6 GPU mining rig and I mine eth 24/7. But if you are looking for profit ratio I believe XMR is far better because it has less power consumption than eth.
