Vietnam accelerates the development of crypto-currency legislationThe Vietnamese government plans to finalize the legal base for digital currencies before the end of January.
Deputy Prime Minister Wong Ding Hugh asked the Ministry of Justice and the Central Bank of Vietnam to expedite the development of a legal framework for the virtual currency and submit it to the government.
It is not yet known what status will be given to the Central Bank's crypto currency - an investment asset, a payment instrument, or they will be considered on both counts.
