Mix and Match Cards?

hey all, i have a 5850 currently installed although i have an older nvidia graphics card in my top drawer... can i chuck this in and mine with both cards or do the cards need to be identical?

I'm fairly certain you can mix-match different model cards ( I.E. 6850 and a 6870 ) but don't quote me. You cannot however mix and match NVidia and ATi

okay, so i can put two different ATI cards together? i was thinking about mining while im gaming using the two cards... one for my games the other for mining

You CAN mix and match cards. I'm doing it right now with a 5870 and a 460. You just can't use the nvida card as a phsyx card for gaming while doing so.
