hey all, i have a 5850 currently installed although i have an older nvidia graphics card in my top drawer... can i chuck this in and mine with both cards or do the cards need to be identical?

I'm fairly certain you can mix-match different model cards ( I.E. 6850 and a 6870 ) but don't quote me. You cannot however mix and match NVidia and ATi

okay, so i can put two different ATI cards together? i was thinking about mining while im gaming using the two cards... one for my games the other for mining Cheesy

I'm fairly certain you can mix-match different model cards ( I.E. 6850 and a 6870 ) but don't quote me. You cannot however mix and match NVidia and ATi

You CAN mix and match cards. I'm doing it right now with a 5870 and a 460. You just can't use the nvida card as a phsyx card for gaming while doing so.
