- snip -
they both went through at the exact same time.

Does this mean that the same miner is doing both transactions?  They have the same number of confirms.

Yes. If both transaction have the exact same number of confirmations, then they were included in the same block meaning they were both confirmed by the same miner all at once.

Strange they went through at the EXACT same time and have the exact same confirmations.

Last question and I will leave you guys alone for a bit Smiley

When backing up Bit QT should I save an extra copy? to a USB?

Just thinking if some how mu computer crashed.

Bitcoin-qt has an option to back up your wallet. You'll find it in the drop-down menus somewhere (I don't remember exactly where at the moment, but it's easy to find).

You should back up the wallet regularly and keep the most recent few backups (just in case one of the backups is damaged)

I generally recommend keeping track of approximately how many addresses you've generated with the "new address" button AND how many transactions you've sent from the wallet.  Every time that count reaches about 25, it would be a good idea to back up again.  Then keep at least the most recent 3 backups.

It just means they were in the same block.  The blocks are mined every 5-10 minutes.
