Hi,

I have a mini rig with 3 GPUs (2x Rx 570 Nitro+ and 1 Rx 580 Pulse)

Until now i was mining with only 2 GPUs (2x Rx 570 Nitro+), so i bought one more GPU (Rx 580 Pulse).

I bought a riser cable(1x to 16x) and i have installed it very well, but my GPU (Rx 580 Pulse) is not mining very well, only 14 MH/s with ETC.

My others GPUs (2x Rx 570 Nitro+) can mine 25 MH/s each.

I have connected my 2 gpus in the pci-e and my new Gpu i have connected with a riser cable.

So whats is the problem?

It's probably not the riser's fault that you are only mining at 14 MH/s. The fact that your system recognizes it and even mines at all means the rising is working correctly.

What drivers are you using? Have you turned on COMPUTE mode? If not, just go to radeon settings, select your GPU, then switch workload from GRAPHICS to COMPUTE. Doing that will probably fix your hash rate issues. You could also overclock and do BIOS mods to increase your hash rate. All of the information on how to do this is available on google.

Best of luck!

I am using "Radeon Software Version 18.2.1" Adrenalin version.

I turned to compute mode now haha (I had did that on my others Gpus so i tought it was automatic), but my MH/s still 21 below than my other GPUs(25mh/s each), and rx 580 is better than 570.

And yes i did the better overclocks configs i could find on this tutorial https://mining.help/

Why the problem is still there?

Why the problem is still there?

Well one thing you could check out is how to do mining BIOS mods for your AMD cards. Even at 25 MH those cards are doing sub par compared to their potential hashrates. I believe the 570 should be doing around 28 MH while the 580 should be able to do 30 MH depending of course on your memory type. Try the BIOS mods first. Just follow the online guides and make sure to make a backup before modding.

Maybe your windows update, I've experienced like that. Do you use atimdag-patcher? If so, try this way.
Just rename it to atikmdag-patcher-bios.exe then only the bios signature will be patched. Restart your system, and the system will more easily detect the mod card that is not detected.

Pixel patcher is for modded GPUs. OP hasn't yet gone thru modding the bios

I assumed your PSU enough for 3 GPUs.
have you tried RX580 installed in other PCIex1 (only RX580 without 2x RX570).
have you tried a USB Riser installed on RX570 then try on pairs in RX580.

one of can be happened because of lack power or USB Riser has a problem.

Hm, in order to be sure that is not the proble in rx580 itself  you have to remove one rx570 from mb and insert there your rx580 and check what hashrate it will show.  If the problem persist, then it would be clear the problem in rx580 - if the card will show good hashrate - then, I guess the problem might be in riser..

Ups, I think the op already update bios RX, please forgive me @leonix007.
Ok let's wait for the op, what will it do, after we give some solution for the problem.

No worries, Stock GPU is visible on the hashrates mention by the OP above

Well guys thanks for your help, but i think the GPU is the problem.

I did a lot of test and i put only the RX 580 to run in one slot of pcie x16 and the problem still there (21 MH/s without overclock and 21MH/s with overclock, whatever didnt change). I will talk with the store who sold me that.

Dude, did you already do modding bios?

Honestly, I doubt if the store would admit that your card is faulty due to low hashrate  Cheesy its supposedly used or specifically design for gaming and high graphics work and not for mining Wink

I agree but if i do the benchmark test maybe the card will be low than usual and i can prove that. i think if the GPU is worse to mine so she can be worse to play games.

Its up to you bro, however, just for curiosity's sake. did you try modding them? sorry if its a bit repeatedly query, thus I have a feeling that would solve your low hashrate issue.

Unleash the AMD's true hashrate.. mod them.

Listen to leonix007. I agree
you have to update GPU bios, hashrate RX 580 (4GB) for ETC coins should be 28mhs-30mhs. Before GPU bios update, you need to move GPU jumper, don't forget to save bios original GPU.

thanks for your help but i bricked my card, so i spent almost 4 hours do unbrick(was not easy because pulse doesnt have the switch bios button). Now is fine, working like a shit with 21mh/s, but at least she is working again. Do you have any good rom to RX 580 Pulse 8GB hynix memory?

I found a good rom now my 2x 570 Nitro+ 4GB = 27.2MH/s and RX 580 Pulse 8GB = 30.7MH/s.

Thanks for everyone in special to leonix007(thnks man we did it  Grin) =D now i am really happy.
