Honestly it was really smart to get out of the way before the laws and countries inevitably count this type of activity as money laundering. They hunt down dark markets like crazy these days, and it will only get worse. Doesn't mean you can't be safe, but it means you'll have to be more careful like Bitmixer getting out in front of it before it really is a bad problem.
Let's hope it is like that. I have a feeling that the wave the shutdown made through the media actually increased the public awareness of it, making it even worse.
But yes, I agree that privacy is harder to achieve these days.
