Recently, I've been using localbitcoins.com a lot ever since I've tried it for the first time. Even though it's "local" bitcoins, you can still do exchanges online from many payment methods, or schedule to meet up someone local in person.

Right now, avoid BTC-e at all cost. They are currently doing a mass scam at the moment. You can't get money into the exchange, but can still do trades on there.

localbitcoins is good, but don't trust all users and payment methods there as some of them are reversible and some hackers use there hacked funds to pay so be careful.
Bitstamp, coinbase are other possible options, but they require ID verification and you need to do your own search about them first before using them.

I haven't tried localbitcoins yet but will next time as I'm tired of all the BS experiences with the exchanges.
Signed up with bitstamp 2 weeks ago and still can't do anything because of the verification process.
I know they have received a lot of new applications but communications is abysmal.
coinbase is a bunch of ex-wallstreet con artists, check out all the complaints.
They took 6 days to complete an ACH deposit to my account for a sale about a week ago and tried to blame it on the ACH system.
It sounds like no US folks can withdraw fiat from mtgox and I'm not sure how much luck they're having with deposits either.

Thanks a lot fincen!    Sad

Yup, to reiterate once again, avoid BTC-e like the plague, right now quite a few users are unable to withdraw for various reasons and support isn't doing squat.
