I heard a little about cloud-mining.

Thinking og renting a VPS on DigitalOcean, to mine on. I know it's CPU mining and it isn't good, but has anyone tried this? How does it work?

The complete idiots guide to easily setting up XPM mining on Digital Ocean
http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=c5tndbclkortc6ag2fqd5mmvr7&topic=1431.0

don't take offense to the name of the guide,  Wink

If you include more info about what you're looking after, you'll likely get more links/helpful responses.

Also check out the forums for the individual coins you want to mine (like the peer/xpm i linked) as there are very often "idiots" guides to everything right now.

trust me, i would know, i follow as many idiot guides as I can  Grin

Thanks for the link!

Also, the link i sent for XPM is centered around the $20/month droplet. Other guides I've seen use the $5 one.  The other link has you select 4 cpu/8gb droplet which cots $80/month.

I clicked through the PTS one and it says it is still profitable.  I have no idea if that's true or false.

Not sure if XPM is profitable.  Scouring reddit seems to imply lots of folks are simply priming (no pun intended) their DO droplets for when it becomes viable (implying it currently is not)

Also, you can check this reddit feed too http://www.reddit.com/r/primecoinmining/
