I run the bytecoin website but I run nothing else I'm just trying to help the cause. Seems the last difficulty drop and subsequent increase upset a few people... (actually one person) thought I'd let folks here hear my point and feel free to express your own opinion too. Anyway no names the email I received (please bear in mind bytecoin is not my baby i just try and support it):

Email:
what is the point of this shite lol. you should be embarrassed.

My Reply:  you don’t have to mine bytecoin - really it’s your call you choose. When it’s up folks mine it, if it’s down they don’t. But the one thing i can tell you you made the choice to have a go. You either carry on or you get out… But you do have a choice. Where are you from? Can you choose your local currency? So one thing bytecoin has done is it gave you an option!

It's funny quick changing currencies go up and down coin wars every minute, asic on asic off, it's not good to mine (on the most part, i'm sure there are heaps of folks that made some BTC out of them, me included) point is it's great to have a choice. I'm absolutely not embarrassed about BTE, it's not even my coin but it does seem to have persistence. I think the disappointed people are the greedy ones who mined expected something like BTC - BTE parity... Yep good luck. I'd love that to be the case... i'd be rich Smiley But it's still there all it takes is some support and it has as much chance as the rest.

Embarrassed though... no Smiley
