This id has been bought by someone recently. Have a look on the posts before 19th May. Nothing but shit, post with some words only. After 24th may, this user started to post actively with a lot of words. Pure indication of buy/sell account.

Well not necessarily... because  what I see he/she was in Alternate cryptocurrencies on day 1 and still in Alternate cryptocurrencies
Also remember buying and selling of accounts is discouraged but not it's illegal so better ignore next time Smiley

Edit- Email was also changed recently.

Most times when actions are taken against certain behavior of people, there is need to understand the basis for such action. Some people will do some things and would be ignored while some others would be tagged. The reason for that is because the facts surrounding case are different. Why does the community goes against account selling some of the reasons are

1. It encourages spamming of the forum because of those people who just want to earn something so they choose the easy way to buy account without learning the rudiments of unwritten laws that applies.

2. Another is the case of scams which is made possible as newbies are quick to trust people with higher ranks not knowing its equally a newbie hiding behind such rank to commit such atrocity.

In the above case, its possible this account have change hands but the evidence you provided is largely circumstantial and can be easily refuted because the user can claim he decides to change his pattern of posting because of avoiding ban which is possible if it can be proven based on his historical posts as we have seen before. Then the discussion goes to him being able to sign from a wallet address and it goes on and on.

It would with me, but in this case I don't think the account was obviously sold.  The English is more or less of the same quality now as it was in 2013, and I don't see a huge gap as being enough proof of the account being sold (or hacked).  Plus it looks as though this user has always posted mainly in the altcoin section, which is consistent.  I give props to OP for at least looking for these things, but I don't think this guy is going to get tagged--at least not by me.

There isn't enough content/evidence before the alleged hack. Even though there's a huge post gap sometimes this can be expected when Bitcoin has an exponential rise, and rekindles the persons desire about cryptocurrencies/Bitcoin.

They have posted what appears to be a public address through an altcoin (middlecoin?). You could try, and get them to sign from there. Whether or not that coin is still alive will likely decide whether they have the private key to that address.

I do not understand why is it some people are wasting too much time looking for accounts being sold or bought. It is NOT illegal.
Are they being paid to "police" this forum? Stop wasting too much time and have some life.

Not because an account was sold, means it was sold to a scammer.
Is it not possible it was sold to a cryptocurrency newbie who has no patience in ranking up his Bitcointalk account?
Remember , it takes at least 2 weeks to acquire 14 activity points for new accounts.

You're quite right... it is NOT "illegal" insofar that it is not against the rules of the forum...

However...

This sort of attitude is why sales of accounts is frowned upon by a LARGE number of users here... There is only ONE reason for wanting to rank up a Bitcointalk account quickly... and that is simply so that one can participate in paid campaigns of one description or another without taking the time and putting in the effort. Generally, the only people who need/want to do this, are spammers and shitposters... and account sales simply encourages this unwanted behaviour. So, some DT members will tag these bought/sold accounts as red to discourage the practice.

The only other reason for buying an account is because you're trying to buy a "trusted" account so you can run a scam of some description by passing yourself off as "trusted" when you haven't actually earned that trust.

There are simply no other reasons for not wanting to take the time to rank up in a "natural" way.

I don't wanna argue with anyone when I posted my comment.
But I want to point out a few things about what you said.

1. You enlarged the word LARGE as if it proves anything. (pun intended) BUT IT DOES NOT. In Philosophy, that is what is called Argumentum ad Populum.
2. You emphasized that there is only ONE reason people are buying accounts. Really? Is that a law of nature discovered by scientists through scientific method? Or is it just a STUPID assumption of a LARGE number of average brained population?
3. You said there is only ONE reason people are buying accounts and later on, you mentioned the only OTHER reason. WTF!? Only ONE then another ONE? Make up your mind.
4. No other reasons for not ranking up in a natural way? How about a project deadline? How about the inability to post links, images, etc in a newbie account? And other reasons I cannot think of?

As you can see I only recently joined this forum so I am not familiar with everything. I visit this forum like 3 times a week. I do not spend my entire life here like the unpaid "police" members do.
I didn't know that a stupid assuming know-it-all class of people governs this forum.

Well to give you a simple explanation even though it is not illegal buying accounts from these account farmers means that they will still continue to do their business, the more accounts being bought from these account farmers means the more fake accounts created by them. And this fake accounts obviously has nothing to contribute anything to the forum but spam or shitpost. And simply tagging farmed accounts is one of the best ways of stopping their business

I suppose that she/he just started participating in signature campaign that requires him to make his posts longer then it was required in his previous one. I can't find his previous campaign (well, I can, but I'm too lazy for it), but in Remme (that he is in now) post must be 100 characters min, so it's no wonder he tries hard to comply with this.

Many people earn a partial or full income from this forum - changes that degrade quality affect them, so they "speak up".

People who want to bypass the normal promotion routine on this forum usually have some nefarious scheme in mind...

Some points to be made:

Buying an account circumvents the requirement of knowledge, either through learning via reading through the forum or discussions in meaningful threads. That means that generally, a user who has owned the account from the beginning would have higher-quality posts and would understand the rules. This prevents spam.

Buying an account also falsely establishes a reputation for the user: how can you be considered a Senior/Hero Member/Legendary if you barely know anything about Bitcoin? It's like if one were to feign 5 years of experience in marketing and apply for a job after slapping it on their resume.

The very idea of account transfer seems at least slightly dishonest at best, don't you think so?

1. You enlarged the word LARGE as if it proves anything. (pun intended) BUT IT DOES NOT. In Philosophy, that is what is called Argumentum ad Populum.
Learned my new thing for the day. Thanks.

2. You emphasized that there is only ONE reason people are buying accounts. Really? Is that a law of nature discovered by scientists through scientific method? Or is it just a STUPID assumption of a LARGE number of average brained population?
No... it has basically been empirically proven over the years.

Quote
3. You said there is only ONE reason people are buying accounts and later on, you mentioned the only OTHER reason. WTF!? Only ONE then another ONE? Make up your mind.
No... what I actually said was:
There is only ONE reason for wanting to rank up a Bitcointalk account quickly
I did not say that there was only one reason why people buy accounts.

Quote
4. No other reasons for not ranking up in a natural way? How about a project deadline? How about the inability to post links, images, etc in a newbie account? And other reasons I cannot think of?
That's what copper membership is for... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.msg24371150#msg24371150 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote)

So... No, there are no other reasons. If you have some sort of deadline or other urgent need to be posting links and images... simply purchase a Copper membership and you can. Copper membership is currently "0.00208333 BTC" which at today's prices is around USD$15

With the added benefits that:
1. No chance of being scammed (Pay the fee, get the benefits)
b. You get to keep/choose your username
and lastly, you're not going to get tagged by DT members that dislike the buying/selling of accounts.

You asked a question. You got an answer. Just because it isn't the answer that you wanted (or agree with), that does not make it wrong. Please note that I was just trying to explain why things are the way they are. I was offering no opinion on whether or not I agree with the current situation.

Also, given that you admit that you are "not familiar with everything", maybe you might want to try learning how this place works, as opposed to insulting people and acting all intellectually superior... Roll Eyes
