I have a laptop with a decent Processor. But my graphics card isnt Opengl compatible. Could some simply go thru the steps to correctly mine with the Wallet?  Details of what RCP is.  How to CPU mine with CPU Miner and so and so on.  Throw ya couple Metiscoins if you can direct me to the right procedures with all the details.

Just open the debug-menu in the wallet and type "setgenerate true -1" and you will start CPU-mining.

Write "getmininginfo" to see how fast you're mining.

To stop, write "setgenerate false".

The "RPC" (not RCP) interface is a way for other programs to interact with Bitcoin-Qt or bitcoind while it's running.

You are very limited in what you can mine with a CPU. I suggest starting with Quark perhaps. Look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.0

Here's a great 24 hours comparison done by ReviewOutlaw for ALL CPU COINS.

Guess who the winner is? Smiley
MemoryCoin of course!

Actually It depend A LOT of the current alt coin price and current difficult.

For example I sold a lot of PRT few days ago, mined from my dedicated servers, was at ~0.00000300, now the price is 0.00000201 at CoinedUp.com

Also you could make some decent money or but could fail a little when you mine at the ANN of the coin.
Dual Xeon 5560 at the ANN of PRT = >15,000 PRT/24h. Which at that point worth 0.0000. But later 15,000 coins was > 0,045 BTC and the server monthly rent was paid with < 2 days of mining.
But now with the same server you could mine only ~600 PRT/24h.

Maybe you looked at it wrongly. The price could be dropping because you have sold A LOT OF coin lol.

It's possible, but it's not recovering Smiley)

Also - DO NOT get tempted to CPU/GPU mine on your laptops if they do not have warranty left. You are risking them for $30-$40/month.
