Driver issues

Hi, I am building a gpu rig and I am really struggling to get all the graphics card to be detected.

I am using the H110-D3A motherboard and have 6 x Gigabyte radeon rx580 GPU's. I am running windows 10 and the drivers I have are the AORUS graphics driver and utility. My monitor only has a VGA connector so I am connecting from the motherboard to the monitor. When I install the drivers I can detect the all the GPU's individually in the AORUS engine software, it even detects two at at time when I put one in the first and second slot. If I try and do more though the computer starts to run really rough and when I open up the AORUS engine software it doesn't let me click anything and the available options are different. I can't see all of the GPUs.

I have tried reinstalling everything (including windows) several times but I just get the same result.

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

I have tried putting one in at a time and rebooting in between but when I get past two it doesn't work.

Try Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.3.4

Download it from AMD site, working good!

What drivers are you currently using? You should try adrenaline drivers, as the poster above me said. You should also not connect trough the motherboard, you should buy a VGA converter instead. They dont cost much, im using one myself.

Thanks Ill give that a go. Does the VGA converter have to be the powered type?

And don't forget to patch the drivers if you have BIOS modded the cards.

I managed to get all the cpu detected in device manager by first using ddu and turning all updates off. In nice hash non of the gpus are detected though and I get the following error message pop up:

amd opencl device detection.exe application error

Any ideas what the issue is here?

Check this guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0 and try download the blockchain driver for your cards and test if your card can detect but make sure to use DDU driver uninstall everytime you install a new driver so that it doesn't conflict when detecting your card driver.
And I would like to ask if what version of windows OS you install?

I downloaded the 17.10.1 drivers and it seems to now recognise all 6. Thanks for your help Hopefully I get decent results.

I am having issues with the nice hash benchmarking. Every time I try and run it I get blue screen of death after a while. Any ideas why this could be and how I can resolve it?

A lot of possible cause like drivers, miners, risers, psu etc.

try to use other miner like claymore

if still encounters BSOD check your eventviewer for any error logs

it might help you out finding the culprits
