So the story goes on like this:

I sent 1 million coins (GME) worth like 20 ltc now (was more than that earlier) to a user Stake's crypsty trade key as advance payment for a project. It was just a partial payment and the project was to begin once I made full payment.

For some reason, I didn't make full payment and the project was canceled like 3 weeks later so I asked him for a refund. I told him he could take like 5% of the coins. He agreed and sent the coins.

He could not verify the withdrawal because he had lost the domain with which the email address is attached.

So several weeks later, here I am asking him to contact cryptsy. He sent tickets to Crypsty but they wouldn't help either. I told Stake's username to Cryptsy.

I sent a ticket to cryptsy that they could help me by replying to Stake's tickets. They told me to ask Stake to contact them again (wouldn't tell me why they wouldn't check his earlier tickets) and he did.

Now I see my ticket is closed and all the conversations have been deleted.

I just want to ask, what do we have to do if we lose access to an email address? Are the funds gone?

You don't need email address to login to Cryptsy, only username and password.

To me it simply looks like you was scammed. Also note that Cryptsy support (just like any support in existence) is very slow and it takes lots of time for them to answer. Oh, and if the dude that sent you coins had problems on his end, it's HE who must speak with support, not you.

This is nothing but the other guy's word saying he lost the domain blah blah blah....

Yes Cryptsy has a process that he could change his email, if he wanted to without involving support. Takes less than a minute.

Also more than likely he never submitted a ticket to begin with which is why Cryptsy couldn't respond to it.

Ask "Stake" for the original ticket number.

He more than likely dumped your coins and doesn't have them.

Post the email address he claims he lost and txid of the transactions and I will tell you if he is lying or not.

FYI I am not associated with Cryptsy but all of this is easy to see if you know where to look.

When we try to change email, it shows the following message

"An email has been dispatched to your current address to approve your requested email change."

He doesn't have access to his email account and the domain name now. He says he doesn't have the ticket number either. I think that is because the ticket number is sent to the email which he doesn't have now.

He sent to my cryptsy trade key and there is no transaction ID for that. He sent me a screenshot of the withdrawal to my trade key waiting for email confirmation.

I just want to get my funds back. Worked quite hard to earn them Smiley

Cryptsy support was actually very fast, but its just not working out for me. I am wondering if anyone knows how to make it work. He said he opened tickets. What else can we do here?

I just checked this. When we try to change email address, an email is sent to the old address to confirm the new address, so he is out of luck here.

No he didn't. He says he doesn't have the ticket number, probably because it goes into the email address which he doesn't have anymore.

He can make a ticket using any email.........Freshdesk is a totally separate system. Basically if hes not giving you all this info something is a miss with your "associate"

Anyone can create an account on freshdesk. How would Cryptsy be sure its the same guy or not?

I'm just asking for help to recover my coins. I'll ask Stake to open another ticket with another email address and give me the ticket id.

Without going into to much more detail I assure you there are no mistakes or tickets from this user. Whatever deal you believe you had seems broken.

Alright, thanks for your help BitJohn.

I have had quick response from Crypsty. I think its just that Stake hasn't done enough to help.

@wtman

I found your Twitter, you don't seem to like Cryptsy too well and it appears you're a big fan of Realsolid.

Of course it's just coincidence that you complain about an issue that you just can't seem to substantiate.

Why don't you post the transaction ID of the 1 million GME you sent?

~BCX~

Please try to understand. I sent the coins to his cryptsy trade key. There is no transaction ID for that.

I'll stop posting here tho because this is not Cryptsy's problem. The problem is with Stake and me. Thanks for your help BCX
