July cryptocurrency mining news, today we are covering how Bitmain is being valued at 12 billion US dollars and they are seeking 300-400 million USD in funding. The Bitmain Antminer Z9 mini has been torn down, and examined. Vitalk Buterin of Ethereum thinks that Proof Of Work aka Crypto Mining is centralized especially because of Bitmain. Ethereum is adding VYPER, and we have incoming Nvidia GTX 1160 and 1180 graphics cards both with release dates in 2018.

Some people have been using this type, but it may still be a stage of speculation.
This type emphasizes energy efficiency using new VGA memory - GDDR6. It's also pretty
good for most algorithm. There is a bencmark with a 30-40% increase in speed to mine
with a 10% decrease in power usage. But let's look ahead, Can this one be
best solution.

The image of that "1180" PCB that's 99% populated....

I see 3 8-pin PCIE power headers....

How many watts are they expecting a GPU to draw  Shocked

It as nice seeing the die photos of the new bitmain asic.... interesting approach... but the results shows, how far they can be stretched for now (which is good)... and I bet they already have something way heftier planned and in the works/R&D.

Link to my batch and script resources here.

That is just a test board. That helps the engineers to test the limits, it won't have 3 8-pins.

Agreed would be terrible for the end product, but for testing seems ideal to test absolute limits
