Thank you very much for this information at least it will help other people from falling victim of scam. Keep private keys very safe and avoid clicking on any link sent to you, also try to do a very good research of any project or coin before you invest in it.

These are the most stupid and most obvious scammers and in principle are easily recognized. But some are so disguised that no analysis will help in choosing.

Asking for private key equals to scam project/bounty/airdrop experienced crypto enthusiast as well as for those who knew the basics of crypto will not going to bite this bait, however, this would be a potential threat for newbie users and investors, I wonder where and how did they get emails and information from? I heard some rumors that some projects are selling their investor's email and information most likely if the project is a scam.

Scams are everywhere. I think some people may put their private keys without thinking too much. They only look at the reward amount. sometimes if they don't have any idea what private key does, then they will give their keys to others. So it is advisable to get a proper knowledge to survive in this field.

Those who are hungry with their worthless airdrop tokens will bite on this. It's like asking a kid to give their candy to a stranger. I can't blame also those people that aren't aware of this modus.

It's either they bought the list of emails or they signed up on it.

Doubt it if you never signed up for an ICO but you received an email.

Yes, was in deed every where but in the case of the scam issue posted by the OP only people who are lack of common sense will expose his/her private keys just for the sake of joining an airdrop because a newbie can't even do that.
