Why hasn't someone made this yet? I mean it only makes sense. We used gpu's to mine coins. Gamers use gpu's to play games. Most often those games are free to play mmorpg's with an online store where you can purchase in game gold or coins of some sort to be exchanged for better items like mounts, power up's ect. With a steady supply of $$$ flowing into a coins ecosystem on a daily basis it would be a huge success. We wouldn't have to rely on investors to determine the price of a coin because outside interest (gamers) would steadily buy the coin for use in game.
The only problem is it would have to be a good quality game which means a large funding budget. Maybe we as a community could stake something like this? It may be to much for most people to fund such a large budget alone but collectively it wouldn't be an issue.
Cryto's should be the next in game currency.
