This is nothing new in the Fiat zone and I think it is a good practice for people playing with Fiat to stop abuse. While the same can be said about crypto gaming I think that crypto by nature is to offer some kind of privacy to the players.
Crypto also has no boundaries to be tied only to a license such as the UKGC.

Well , looking at your view, I think you have a very sound argument in your post as to the non disclosure of identity that crypto is for anybody using it. One another way, gambling sites are owned by people who have decided to regulate its business in such a way that age is a criteria for qualifying to play, we are just in a double edged situation on this though.

kids will just skips that casino and move to another.
if they don't wanna submit IDs, they can still go into BTC casinos that doesn't ask. they just every here in bitcointalk.
Lol. Most kids don't even know what crypto actually is and they would probably stick to FIAT since crypto can be complicated for many of them. Taking their parents credit card and signing up on a FIAT based casino is way easier for them. This new KYC rule is a positive step forward in my opinion.

If I compare kids of my time and kids of today's time - there's a vast difference! I got my first mobile phone when I completed 12th standard! Now even 4 years old kids watch their favorite cartoon in youtube. Let me tell you that, today's minors understand cryptos in a better way that we can imagine now!

The KYC rule is definitely a positive point towards stopping the minors from gambling! But these minors will try to move to crypto regime faster than we can think, if fiat casinos really implement these kyc rules in a very strict way! And that's a positive!

If kids are the reason behind the implementation, then there will always be a problem. I am not in support of minors gambling, but with technology, one will realize that kids of these can go to any extent to look for information of what they want. Requesting for KYC because of the kids would disturb the gambling activities of matured people that are interested in hiding their identity.

Gambling is not good for minors but requesting for KYC will not be the solution for preventing them from gambling . A child that would gamble would look for other options that would accept or that will qualify him to play. Messages of the destructive nature of gambling should continue to be preached and this would quench their interest for gambling till they are of gage.

You have a big point there. Perhaps the stricter KYC is not the best solution to the growing number of kids entering gambling sites. But what is?

But the problem now is (at least on the part of the law implementers) not all online casinos that operate have a license.
