For this you need to do a preliminary analysis of many coins on which your eyes fall, but for the first time it seems to me the best thing to pay attention to the coins from the top 20!

Many will tell you to invest only in top coins from coinmarketcap. Investing in coins with a small capitalization is very dangerous especially if you are a newbie since such coins can be a scam. You can also find traders who collect long-term portfolio, and repeat after them.

There are many altcoins out there at moment, and I think everyone have their own way to find their altcoin to invest. Here is how I find my good altcoin, I tried to go to coinmarketcap first and check all the information on the top 20 first. I will check their website and their team member, their news and also read their whitepaper, in the end I will look into Google and see what others talk about the coin. After all the information I look through, then I will select one or two I think are good coins to invest,

I am a newbie. I don't know how to find good altcoin, to mine and to invest ?

As a newbie, I would recommend you to start with Medium and Steemit to find some good articles to find a good coin.

Another thing you could do to spot a good project is to search for all the coins that have a gold label of Binance, you can find that doing a google search using this term:
Code:
"Binance research"
, there you can find the projects that Binance find as good investments. That could give you insights on how to choose a proper coin to ride to the moon.

That's all for a starting level if you want more info you can send me a pm and I'll be glad to send you more resources.

Good luck Wink

Thanks a lot. "Binance research" looks great, I'm reading it.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Could you tell me how to find traders and view their long-term portfolio, please?

If you are a total newbie on this market I would advice you avoiding experiments with some unknown coins. Take top-100 from coinmarketcap, learn about the idea of each token and choose the ones you like best.

Research about the top 10 or up to 20 coins.  Check out volume, marketcap, price, trend, etc and anything that specific altcoin.  After that look for exchange platforms where you can buy those coins.  Be particular with your platform because it's where you'll store your coins.  I'm not an expret really I just told you what my mentor told me  Wink Wink

Welcome, you should search on coinmarketcap.com and choose from there, and also check bitcointalk announcement to see if project is legit. If you want to make a fast profit by just buying and sell in short time is not possible right now, but if you buy and hold i think you can get some nice profit, depends how much you want to invest. You can also invest on bitcoin and hold for long, but invest only money that afford to lose. Good luck
