I'm new here. I've done a bit of searching, but maybe someone here can clear this up.

I really want to invest in some ONION. Which has greater anonymity: ONION or XMR? How fast are the transactions?

Monero is now a solid currency that can only continue to go up, ONION is a young coin, but seeing how the market is going seems to promise well. I would invest a 70% on XMR and a 30% on ONION. This is my opinion

yes Monoro is found before Onion and it has a nice history and the invest is more profit when it's price is low

but Onion is the promised one of altcoins  that you can invest in

Now the volume of trading in Cryptopia exchange of Onions is more than it's of XMR

But Can buy Some Onions and others XMR

Onion is cheap coin as of now bro we will not be sure that this coin's value will be moves bigger like BTC or ETH but coins like Monero, Zcash and bitconnect and all growing faster how like bitcoin started bumping after 2013.
XMR is the most used currency now and there many investors mining the XMR with the profit rate you can make in the bitcoin mining.

In your choice obviously investing on Monero for your safety and high yield profit you can make with the amount you gonna put up in. If you looking for anonymity you have go with the bitcoin only even these alts are also fine in that.

In my opinion Monero is actually quite undervalued. It deserves a higher place than dash in market cap terms but it's actually a good 2-3 places down from Dash, even though it offers much better anonymity than Dash.

Deeponion is questionable as even a legit project, let alone being better than XMR which has one of the most active dev teams out there.

Thanks for the responses so far. I think 70% XMR and a 30% ONION might be the best choice. It's better that I don't put all my eggs in one basket

I have a few other investments, 401K through my employer and Vanguard Roth IRA, and I'm just looking for more options. My plan is to buy and hold XMR, Onion, LTC for the long-term.

I'm hoping one of these coins will blow up and maybe I can buy house or something.

Maybe after some year "onion" can be strong cryptocurrency like XMR..
But currently XMR is Best .

Monero is an old coin, and it proved that the project is trustable, while in other hands, onion is a young coin without pretty much track record. I suggest choosing monero because many people have trusted it and it's less volatile if we compare to onion.

But deep onion has a really cool forum where you can earn onions just by participating. So that add's some good PRO's to the onion argument in this debate. And if you don't spend anything on them than you are not really losing anything apart from a little bit of spare time so it's a win/win situation for me either way guys.

I think you could allocate 70% on Deeponion which at the moment has a low price and can have big growth margins and the remaining 30% in Monero.

There is a big scam accusation thread about DeepOnion. They are little bit shady so I would stay away from this project.
