Account farming with low value posts?

I was reading this thread and I had the feeling that patow, thekindpersone and 2ingoin are the same person. The same activity, no merit, effortless posts, all the posts in the off topic section...

I've googled the subject and I've seen that account farming is allowed but in this case it wouldn't be (source).

What do you think? Should I report this? Feel free to report if you want.

I think they really are low value posts and just doesn't add up to the discussion. They are worthy to be reported in my own opinion. The quoted statement below is why I am reporting not mean to be abused but if I think a post is of low quality I tend to report them.

Do not worry about your accuracy too much; one accurate report is worth many inaccurate reports.

And farming accounts become really difficult since the introduction of merit system and as per my knowledge merit system cut down 99.999% account farmers
Yes you can report them if you feel it goes against the forum rules.

I often notice that in the "Off topic" section, many accounts registered on the same day have empty, meaningless messages. Everyone will understand that these messages come from one person. You can guess that such accounts are being prepared either for future sales. Or is it prepared in advance by farm accounts. And also if the account is locked, the following could be used.
In any case, it is difficult to find charges against them that would serve as a valid argument in favor of blocking. It remains only to wait and observe for what purpose this is all done.

Are they abusing the forum somehow? Do you have proper evidence that they are alts? You can report for fake conversations if you have proper evidence of an alt account. If posts are low/zero value then you may report as well to moderators directly from the thread. For fake conversations accusation, you need to provide more evidence. The forum allows us to create multiple accounts, but it doesn't mean we are allowed to abuse and create spam on the forum.

Those characteristics alone wouldn't lead me to think that there's a connection between accounts.  Off-Topic is filled with nonsense garbage (or so I've heard; I have that section on ignore), and most of the time shitposts end up looking alike if you've seen enough of them. 

I used to look at things like registration date and similarity in usernames back when I was trying to identify shitposting alts--and I'd find a lot of them that way, since back before the merit system was implemented account farmers would create multiple accounts with very similar-looking usernames, and they'd all be registered within a day of each other.

I don't know what the exact number is, but I'd say you're probably right.  Account farming rarely happens anymore, because you can't just register 20 accounts and earn enough merit with all of them to rank them up to a high enough level that they'd be worth buying.  That's one of the awesome effects the merit system has had.

And yeah, OP, if you see garbage posts with zero effort put into them, report them.  It doesn't matter if you think they're connected or not.  Reporting shitposts is a good thing to do.

I think you can report these as shitposts. Probably you can't do something more. There is simply no way to prove that these accounts are connected. And I think there is no reason to bother about these Newbie accounts. Even if they are connected, they will never rank-up by making such shitposts.
Before merit system such farming was big problem. Because it was enough to make some posts to gain activity, rank-up and sell account later.
