I have searched about patrol on Beginners & Help section, but hadn't found the appropriate thread. So I decided to write about it (never mind if there is an existing similar thread, remind good things aren't bad).
I believe old members know about Patrol, but likely most of the newbies don't know about patrol and what is the use of it. So this thread will describe patrol and newbies would learn to help the forum.

What is Patrol?
I believe some of you may realize what is Patrol when clicking the above hyperlink. This is a page containing 200 most recent posts made by brand new & newbies accounts only. Higher than newbies post will never reflect there.

What is the use of Patrol?
There are no special uses of the Patrol page, but it's very useful & easy to spot bots, spam posts, phishing links posters, and rules breaker. Brand new/newbie accounts frequently not familiar with forum rules. So if you want to help prevent spam, then the Patrol page is for you to make it easier. For example, someone made a post with phishing links, you can report to the moderators to remove that links and save forum users.

How to report?
There is a thread creates by Welsh where you will find A2Z report guidelines, read it here; [Guide] Reporting effectively.

How to enable Patrol page?
You may add the Patrol page under "watchlist" on the forum homepage. So it will look like the below image.

*To enable this option you have to click on your "Profile" then you will find an option upper left called Forum Profile Information. Click on it.

*Then you have to tik mark () on Show patrol link.

Done.

Hope it will useful for you guys who intent to help forum by preventing spam.

Even as a full member, I have never known about this before, if the patrol page are for newbies contents, that is good, it will be easy to spot out spam, low quality and useless contents. Low quality posters and scammers will be easy to know because I have noticed one thing on this forum, that even aside spammer, also 90% accounts or more members that want to scam on this forum are newbie accounts. Bringing this up is really so useful.

You should select what board you want to patrol using this url
example
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=7
1= Bitcoin Discussion board
7= Economics board
will show the last 100 posts in Bitcoin Discussion and economics board

if you modify url like this,
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,7,9
will show the last 100 posts in Bitcoin Discussion, economics and off-topic board

also, if you add ;patrol
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,7,9;patrol
will show you last post in Bitcoin Discussion, economics and off-topic board by newbie.

I’ve never used this feature here, and probably won’t, being happy enough to report whatever I find naturally when browsing around the threads. Having to explicitly focus on non-organic Brand New or Newbie posts is not part of what I’d really fancy doing.

Having said that, the Patrol feature is interesting for those that dedicate part of their time here to focus for a while on spam, scams and fake links, many of which are performed by the entry level ranks. This enables a better focus on these potentials, and the forum is partly cleaned through people that set some personal time aside to use this sort of feature.

I don’t expect though many beginners to use this feature, and they probably shouldn’t until they grasp the forum culture to a certain degree.

This thread complements the OP, and provides some additional Patrol options, that let you pin-point the forum boards you want to focus on (i.e. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,9;patrol to patrol only Bitcoin Discussion and Off-topic – it seems to filter the 200 posts mentioned in the OP): Patrol custom URL guideline + list of active Forum boards.

I would suggest that nobody uses the native Patrol link, and as a bare minimum uses this one instead: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol;nobounty. This filters out all the bounty spam, which makes up at least 50% of all newbie posts on the forum. Beyond that, see my post linked to above (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5112334.msg49854683#msg49854683) for further instructions on how to customize the patrol/recent posts page.

Instead of appending ";boards=1" or similar, you can also append ";c=1" to show all recent posts from the "Bitcoin" category, 3 for Economy, 4 for Other, and 6 for Altcoins.

Having said that, the Patrol feature is interesting for those that dedicate part of their time here to focus for a while on spam, scams and fake links, many of which are performed by the entry level ranks.
I also use a customized patrol link, only showing posts from the least spammy boards, to search for good newbies to merit.

Well explained by coolcryptovator in the OP about patrol feature. Yes, I did not also see any post about this feature in the past. So it may help the newbie to learn a good lesion.

I have not also use this feature in the past to check the history of resent posts. I did not also think about to use it. But yes it’s useful feature.

I don’t expect though many beginners to use this feature, and they probably shouldn’t until they grasp the forum culture to a certain degree.
I know usually newbies will not visit Patrol page, but at least when they become member rank they could use it if they like. I have seen that sometimes new users try to contribute themselves to the forum. So hope this thread would help them to learn and they would apply in near future. Because today's newbie will be Legendary tomorrow.

I would suggest that nobody uses the native Patrol link, and as a bare minimum uses this one instead: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol;nobounty. This filters out all the bounty spam, which makes up at least 50% of all newbie posts on the forum.
Yes, that would be nice. But let them learn first before use advanced features.

Images in OP are too large and Coolcryptovator should resize them, then (if needed) use the width option in img blocks.
Corrected & thanks. Your quote added to the OP as well to get it easier.

Dafuq? Since when was this feature available? Didn't even know that this existed.

I would suggest that nobody uses the native Patrol link, and as a bare minimum uses this one instead: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol;nobounty. Was just about to comment on how much of a hassle this is because of the bounties, then I saw this. Now it's time to do a bit of tinkering to include only the English boards.

Now it's time to do a bit of tinkering to include only the English boards.
If you use the following link, it will exclude all the local boards:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;c=1,3,4,6

Drop the 6 if you also want to exclude the altcoin boards. You can't use the "patrol" modifier for newbie only posts along with the category "c=x,y,z" modifier though. If you want to see only newbie posts in English only boards, then you need to use the following link:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=x,y,z;patrol

Replace the x, y, z, and so on with the English board numbers. Handy list available here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115990.0

I already reach my rank and I didn't notice that patrol button before I want to experience this but it's only for the newbie feel sad to know that I miss this opportunity to use this feature. Still thank you for giving this thread so the other members and the newcomers will experience the use of this.

Also with the help of this feature, we can make a report immediately to does not have more hassle because of this and at the same time we help the community safe.

It’s not really delimited to Brand New/Newbie users of the Patrol feature, but rather open to any rank (as a user). The limits stand on what one browses using the Patrol feature, which is restricted to posts created by Brand New/Newbie forum members.
