Recently blocks miner got flooded with a question, What to do with those old 4gb gpu mining rigs.
After reading some posts and some research we saw many posts about using Phoenix Miner or using -eres 0 / -rvram 1 command
but none of it worked.
We tried several random things and came up with a easy trick/solution to mine ethereum on 4gb GPU using Nano Miner.

Here is the list of softwares we used to mine on 4gb cards.
1. Old ver of win 10. 1703 or older
2. AMD blockchain driver
3. NanoMiner v1.10.1

-If this don't work for you I will make detail video about this, just let me know in comments.

You forgot to state that this only extends the life for about 60 days from now.  Then it wont mine Eth on 4gb cards.

The easier solution is to just use Linux and not mess with all those steps.  My 4gb cards will mine until the last minute on Eth without any adjustment.  There are plenty of good Linux mining OS's that do this.

Windows 4gb on eth supposed to die this week, not sure which day.

Most likely in a couple of days when DAG #372 hits. It was a pain and too much tinkering to get 4GB to run on Windows. For linux it will probably run until DAG #379 or #380. Right now it doesn't really matter since lolminer lets you mine past 4GB with reduced speeds.

So most miners will probably just switch to that program instead of having to deal with and install linux. I remember the first time I moved a rig to linux it was a big pain. Nothing is as easy as Windows. You can't overclock or undervolt or anything directly on linux you need to do it on bios. And its also a pain getting the drivers to install correctly. And another issue I had was with the wifi. It never worked out of the box.

It's not only about mining, everything on windows is easier, I gave up on linux a long time ago and windows 10 is cheap at moment, 7 usd you get a key and it can even be used for free as long as the activation text or some limited configuration does not bother you.

In this thread, we discussed all the possible ways to mine Ethereum on cards with 4 GB of memory.
Ethereum mining will be relevant until December 22 approximately, and another 1 month at a reduced hashrate.
Next, you need to learn how to make one 8 GB video card from two 4 GB video cards. It's not difficult at all - add 4 GB of memory and flash the BIOS
