Hi guys
I'm only new to this whole bitcoin world but I'm ready to get into this before it takes off into mainstream society big.
My question is I've got $1500 or a bit more to invest and would like to know if mining or just buying bitcoins and holding them until they go up in value, any help would b great as I belive bitcoins have a big future and I want in on it.
Thanks

That's roughly 4 BTC, just buy it.  It's more BTC than you'd get mining with a $1500 investment.

Sounds like a good idea, I would only b into mining to make money and with bitcoins going for just over $400 a coin at the moment I can only see them going up in time
BTW,  Can anyone tell me if they believed the price of coins will go up in august when it becomes harder and more difficult to  mine bitcoins? Just a thought I had.

You could go with this gridseed blade:
http://hashra.com/gridseedbladeplus/

It includes everything and can overclock to 850freq for 5.8MH/s. Your other option is antminer s1's, you could get 3 of them with some btc leftover. scrypt vs sha-256 mining

You may consider to invest in BTL (aka BitLeu) coin too:

i'd just buy BTC and then buy Haasbot, which is the most advanced bitcoin trade bot commercially available, and then configure btc/usd and ltc/usd for the trade bot and you'll do much better than mining or buying and holding.

I'd probably buy LTC, as I personally think there will be a huge shot in prices once asics come out for scrypt. Good investment choices IMO are also x11 coins (right now mainly darkcoin, maybe hirocoin) and scrypt-n (as well know as vert xD)

Diversify, buy some BTC, LTC, and put 50 bucks on DOGE. Grin

If you're in it to mine, hold off 2-3 months or until the some of the Titans hit the market and the next round of hardware comes out.
