Storing Bitcoin private keys using dental implants?

LOL! Sometimes, we're doing it too much.

I wouldn't go as far as this to protect my Bitcoin. Surely, there must be lots of alternative ways to store your private keys safely and securely.

If this is the way being our banks would do to us, I guess I'd rather keep my seed phrase in a bank safe.

I won't even have my tooth extracted through a surgery if it's not badly needed, why should I go through some operation just to store my keys?

Not sure what would be the pros for this, but surely the cons would be the usual known $5 Wrench Attack.

Upgrade00 also has a great point that because it cannot be done alone, you're surely risking not just yourself but also your private keys to someone else since they are gonna be the one to do the work. Even if I have a trusted relative that can do the engraving, I would not even budge it.

well this is very true, the dentist might know first  when they try implant to our mouth they inject "sleep potion" and copy everything

Storing Bitcoin private keys in dental implants seems to be horrible idea, a shit show waiting to happen, subject to cheap and low tech extraction theft.  Best to not even entertain this, but is has been entertaining.

Don't try to fix something, if it's not broken. Paper and ink have proven to be effective means of backing up private keys (seed phrase). Having multiple backups helps to act as a fail safe and should be encouraged too, but I can't see a single need to want to carry my seed phrase around in my tooth implants.

The biggest con is that a regular guy cannot do this by themselves and would need the help of a professional. Any aspect of safeguarding my seed phrase that would mean exposing it to someone else (who in this case would handle the engraving) is a big risk and one I would not be willing to take.

You couldn't be more right. In a similar post about holding your private keys and SP where I once read people suggesting saving this information in a Nuclear type king of Vault, even then I thought that was overboard. As you suggested, "Paper and ink have proven to be effective means" and I also believe that the best way to protect your crypto assets is for you not to even let people know you have them. I believe that we are overthinking this whole login info thing.

This topic question proves once again that people are very creative. I hope that those who decides to use that method hold a lot of crypto, because storing $2k worth of Bitcoin for example in dental implants seems rather silly. Also I would like to say that such storing method has a huge disadvantage - to be able to use your keys, you need an assistance of a specialist. In case you want to make a quick usage of your crypto, you would need to sign first for the visit, or feel pain or discomfort pulling or knocking implant out.
