I think the issue with Nvidia is that they are trying to be the next Apple. They basically made it very difficult for AIB to profit, so no surprise that EVGA left the GPU market. And they like Apple, are overcharging for everything and they think their loyal followers will pay these prices.

According to the forums, many of the Nvidia fan boys are just going to turn to AMD. They need to becareful what they do in the future because their stock and business can come crashing down very quickly.

NVIDIA Retained 80% Discrete GPU Market Share Versus AMD’s 20% In Q2 2022 Despite Gaming Revenue Losses

It is stated that the oversupply issue is being made a huge deal and NVIDIA can move their inventory really quickly through their partners. The GPU vendor is currently planning to offer a second round of price cuts in September which will bring prices down even further.

Selling at a discount won't kill them. Because before that, the companies had a very good profit.
