It's time that Nvidia will again witness why miners are so important to their business, there will never be another profitable coin like Ethereum again, even the difficulty of those less profitable coins are insanely high too, like what the f***, I don't know what to do with my mining rigs anymore lol 😸😸 I turned them off for now.

Honestly I thought this two companies won't allow Vitalik to switch lol, I was wrong.

When their earnings come out in the guidance they always state that their business does not take into account mining profits. Right now their stock is dropping but its not because of end of POW its because most large cap stocks have dropped recently. Yields are going up and looks like all stock indicies will hit new 52 week lows and hence why Nvidia is dropping. Plus all that non sense they had earlier with the Capitol.

They are a big company and they can survive without miners. However the next few quarters will be brutal for them because there is going to be a huge supply of used GPUs and many gamers will just buy used instead of paying 2x as much for new.

If both companies were smart enough they saved money, because they made tons and tons of money selling cards to miners.
I remember Nvidia saying some things about miners but it was happy enough to sell every single card launched, even 1660 and 2060...

Market will probably get back to "normal", selling cards to gamers, renders etc

Nvidia have bad news, EVGA will not work with them anymore: https://www.pcgamer.com/evga-ends-nvidia-video-card/
You can see some companies like EVGA, Apple and Microsoft leaving Nvidia.
Let's see how they will deal with those problems.

Nvidia fucked all AIBs with their founders edition nonsense(as in FE not having LHR). EVGA just got tired of their bullshit and told them to go fuck themselves. Justifiably so if I may add.

In a strange irony I saw a Gigabyte 3070 advertized on a major online retailer bragging about the Eth hashrate for their LHR card.
There wasn't a lot of public pushback by the AIBs but it's clear now they're pissed.

They can't really fight NVIDIA, they're too big to fail. Net worth of almost 330 billion dollars. They're colossal

Poor the biggest graphic cards companies? These companies are already in big fat success before mining become a thing, yes it's true that they made more because of crypto miners but it's not as if they will go bankrupt because Ethereum mining is no more lol.

I think only Nvidia will see their earnings come down as their 3000 series was bought at the fastest possible rate from miners, gamers and everyone who needed them.Nvidia didn't want the miners so they came up with the LHR cryptolock that "would so be a good option for the gamers" and thus since then the market didn't like Nvidia,I am talking about the mining market while AMD never made such a gesture and since the LHR lock was in place AMD saw some increase in their sales.

However it is a sure thing that they will miss the target sales and especially Nvidia will miss a lot of sales in the 4000 series,no one would give a damn,as even a 3070 or 3070 ti is great for any gaming performance or rendering in architecture.

They never really wanted to be in the crypto business anyway. I think they’re fighting to try and get control of the AI and self driving car markets for the coming years. With things like augmented reality & the metaverse becoming more common, I think they’ll do just fine no matter what. I’ve even been a buyer of AMD on this dip.

Nvidia is spending a lot of budget on AI from many years now and they even come up with some data that showed a completely self driving car in Germany not that long ago however I have not read or heard any news of the same from AMD,most probably AMD is not heavily invested in this.

The prices of video cards are falling down dramatically right now at ebay I saw brand new 3060 ti for 399 USD which is a really good price, also the Rtx 3080 at near 700 USD is again a normal price compared to what we had in the bull run.I think they will fall even more and maybe it is time to get some and wait for the right time to put them back to work.

What video cards are used in AI?
NVIDIA Tesla V100 is reported to be more efficient, it consumes less power than the current 3090 and 4090 by several times and has better computing performance? The 3060 ti is good for gamers, but what's the use of it in AI computing?

The high end cards of Nvidia are being used to test Artificial Intelligence in order to make possible self-driving cars and they had a prototype in Germany in 2021 if I recall it correctly and the other fields they are using them is for Medical Breakthroughs which became a necessity during the Covid era as before Covid only for the self-driving car they were mainly used but now with the invention of Immunotherapy for cancer which you instill stamina cells and you boost directly the immunity after Chemio Therapy is a great usage of such cards.I of course only pray for fast success in this second area which is medicine rather than self driving cars.

Everyone wants a piece of pie in the medicine industry and Nvidia is fighting hard for this not because they care about people but because corporate tyranny only cares about money.

And yes the Teslas are being used as the brain of the devices they reside in to make science advance further in the above mentioned fields.

Nvidia new GPU was released and price is staggering. If you go and read on Nvidia forums or Reddit groups most gamers are saying they aren’t going to buy the new GPUs they will just buy used ones from miners.

I am pretty sure this will be the trend from now on. Why would anyone pay such high prices for a GPU. If anything they should of released this 2 months prior and they would get more sales. Now I don’t think many have that kind of money to spend on a GPU when you can buy an entry level gaming desktop for a similiar price.

Or V.B. will be strong armed into altering eth yet again.

1264 price and under attack from US government.

as pos it is pretty much what they say it is a bond and subject to government regs.

Should be fun watching it unwind over the next few months.

Hmm ripple was how high 3.80 in early 2018 US government attacked it and it neve got back over 1.50

right now it is 41 cents.

and yeah why buy a 4090 and pay  so much more than a used 3090 or 3090 ti

The video card chip for games has a different architecture, for example, it is optimized for ray building and better graphics in games.
I understand that the Nvidia Geforce RTX 3000-RTX 4000 can give good compute performance for AI beginners, but I think for professional work there is Quadro, Tesley or Amazon AWS or Google Cloud services.

They already said dlss 3 will not work with RTX 3XXX hehe, it looks like 4xxx gen will be that gen that most gamers will skip, buying cheap hardware from miners

poor nvida I wouldn't say really since for months they have speculated for billions with the excuse that they could not produce enough gpus ... they fired bomb prices at launch which in the end were never respected until 1 month ago. Obviously nvidia will lose a good slice of the market since GPU mining has had a tremendous blow (at least for now) but the prices of the new cards are very normal, the RTX 20 generation had a higher msrp price than the 30. This of the 40 mi it seems fair also given the historical moment in which we are where everything is most expensive regardless. Obviously I will not buy an RTX 40 then who knows.

All this AI stuff including tensor cores (nVidia), AMX (CPU), etc, isn't any help for POW mining. It all uses floating point at
reduced precision (FP16, FP8) while POW mining uses INT32 almost exclusively. If/Until matrix processors support INT32
they're useless for mining. But if they ever do they will provide an order of magnitude increase in POW performance once
the mining software is optimized.
