If you look carefully at people's profiles, you will most likely understand that there are a lot of people on the forum who came to the forum themselves, learned about the rules themselves, and made a name for themselves.
So what unusual things are you telling us today? You are not alone in your endeavors. Maybe we should pat you on the shoulder and call you a “smart boy”? You should be more humble in your successes and more determined in seeking knowledge and then teaching more people like you. If you don’t like your friend’s behavior, then be different, gain knowledge, teach, and help without betraying them.
Everyone who enter in the forum should be responsible to do their part all by themselves. It’s not just like someone is obliged to help you all throughout the learning process, you should do your own diligence to learn. Otherwise, you won’t be able to prove your value in the forum, and won’t earn the trust and recognition simply because your existence does not make any essence to other members.

Now with regards to the attitude of your friend, I guess that’s just his own way of helping you to learn on your own without relying to other people. But if someone will ask you help in the future, don’t be rude but help him educate himself until he can finally stand on his own feet.

This is a true story: after learning about the forum, I went to see a friend for assistance. He helped me set up an account and then, when I tried to ask him for help posting, he refused and told me that since we are not close, I would have to learn how to post on the forum on my own. I found it difficult to ask him questions about how the forum operated, and after several months, his number was unreachable. Finally, one Sunday after church, we got together, and I took it upon myself to ask him for advice on the platform, all he could say was to post on the beginners' forum if you needed any help. Since then, I have been posting, watching, and learning from the community, but I still want to say that even though I'm learning the hard way, it has given me a lot more confidence that I can succeed on my own with perseverance and hard work.

As long as we explore the forum and read some important topics then we will learned a lot of thing's  cause most of all topic's that we want to learn is already here all we need to do is to search and read those one.
Also learned in our own is an good example of explorer anyways we need some help if we won't understand what are the topics all about but if the majority is learning form our own is a big achievements. Cause if we rely or owe something in our friends  especially like here in this community is getting worst. So it's better to put our heads up and learn.

in my experience, i didn't encounter any difficulties when i first registered on this forum, because to be honest, everything was very clear and quite easy to understand. even if you don't have a friend to introduce you to this forum, you can still clearly understand what is needed to develop your account on this forum and what the rules of this forum are. i just don't understand why there are so many newbies who make this forum so difficult to understand, even though if you have difficulty you can use the search feature or ask the members of this forum directly. it's that easy and there's no need to make it too complicated.
I don't think there are difficult things in this forum, because they are using simple grammar that will make people to understand what they are discussing in the forum and you can contribute if you have idea on what they are discussing in the forum.

There are some friends that will be forming they are helping you, but they will take the advantage of the help to have access to your privacy by helping you to create account, which they can use them against you in future,  but I know there are some good friends that will impact the knowledge to you without doing such a thing to your privacy.

If you want to understand so many things from Bitcointalk.org, create more time in your local board, I believe they will teach you in a local way for you to improve in quality post because they know how to use their local language to make their people to understand everything about the forum.

Right, posting in your local boards first will generate a big help because they can explain it clearly to you using your local language. But you should not just rely whatever they say, do your diligence to research as well. You cannot maximize learning if you don’t learn on yourself first. Take time to explore and read as much as you can. When you struggle on understanding some of what you read, that’s the time you will ask help from your local boards so they can clearly explain it to you. It’s always a two way learning to make the learning more effective.

In being in the empathetic side, it would be nice if your friend would have just shown you the ropes on how the forum works but I still think it would have been better this way, when you are learning on your own rather than being spoon-fed all the information.

Knowledge is important, it phases comes with different sectors and we have the top set of people that easily have access to information. The forum is broad enough to embodied everyone but it seems there's basically no greater part than laying sacrifices for a promising future. Everyone must not have to participate in leisure because they have this gift of settling for basic information and research by themselves. This category of people will always be ahead of their colleagues when it comes to projects.

Reading the helping guide and learning is not very hard. Moreover, if you want to achieve something big in life, you must do a little hardship, you can never grow without hardship. And the most important thing is that you don't have to do any physical work here, you just have to read and gain knowledge, it's not too difficult, just mental work is a little bit more.

Anyway good luck to you, hope you can go far, keep going.

Actually I think is very good to learn by ourselves instead of depending on other people, so that should in case they're not there to help us so that we won't find it difficult. there are so many ways in which we can learn by ourselves, one of them is through research if there's anything we don't understand we can make research. However I think the reason why most newbies find it difficult to understand the forum more especially those newbies that was introduced by there friend is because they always expect their friend to give them the whole information about the forum, sometimes their friend might not give them attention. at this point they will find it very difficult to cope, most of them can even quit in the process, that is why is very important to learn by ourselves.

You may feel betrayed but this is the best approach to learning, do it yourself. Fail, make mistakes and learn from them. You stagnated your own learning process because you were waiting for a friend to mentor you when in fact you needed was right here on the forum. The most important question you should ask yourself is why are you here. Is it to learn about bitcoin? If it is, you should not wait until your friend’s approval before doing what you want. It’s been two years since you registered this account, have you bought bitcoin since then or are you also waiting for your friend?
The mistake is to trust someone easily.
Mentorship is not a wrong decision for a beginner but choosing the wrong and untrusted person would take all our chances and go in the wrong direction. It happens not often but I think we need to learn our own even if we struggle hard at least, if we fail, we just blame ourselves not others. I believe that OP has realized already the mistake he/she made, probably not going to happen again in the future.

Learning mistakes is not a difficult thing to do especially if we want to grow. I am certain that we all commit mistakes but we need to open our minds and think in a positive way rather than in a negative way.

but I still want to say that even though I'm learning the hard way, it has given me a lot more confidence that I can succeed on my own with perseverance and hard work.
Your friend is very stingy with knowledge, what's so difficult about teaching you about the performance of this forum, I think if you have a strong desire it only takes a few hours, you are already proficient and understand how to post and understand the performance of this forum.

But don't worry, there are still lots of good people here who want to share knowledge about anything, including understanding forum performance, Bitcoin and so on, don't be shy to ask questions and learn a lot about anything as a beginner.

My suggestion, visit these boards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0, you will find various rules that can be done and vice versa, as well as rankings and don't forget to review these: SMF User Help: Posting, I'm sure it will be useful for you, as well as other things such as: Topic: How to add photos to a post, good luck here.

Well I actually loved what that very friend of yours did, that is teaching you how to fish  (allowing you to be independent and confident of yourself) instead of giving a fish to eat (encouraging you to be lazy). like you said he already thought you some vital things you needed to know and it was left for you to experiment it, that is putting it in practice rather than still waiting on him for more help, that is human being for you. If you should study the threads really well, the forums and go through the terms and condition there's actually nothing difficult there.
Mostly people will not want to learn they will prefer to be giving the fish always, and it does not work that way because the fisher man will get tired and when they get getting the fish they will actually get tired and they wont even think of trying to help there self by learning how to fish. and when you learn you will have respect from learning from the fisherman, and practicing on your own might just make you a better person look at the lions they wont continue to haunt for their cubs, they will take them along when hunting even when they are small that way they will survive in the wild them self so if you want to survive in the wild it is better to learn and not depend to be feed, it wont help.

Anything that involves money is not easy and that is one of the reasons you see people avoiding bitcoin because they feel its hard and they can not do it, before they start they have already discouraged there self, and that is why when they even start the actual thing they wont succeed because of the mindset they use in starting, i was happy with the topic, learning and having something to do is one of the best ways to sustain your self even if you don't have money.

There is no process that will compromise the results if it is done seriously and honesty is the capital for us to achieve self-confidence towards success. You must have the belief that the key to success is learning to know many things because then you will have much better insight. Forums are discussions and we need knowledge to answer or just want to ask questions, there are many people who choose the fast route to success and in the end they don't get anything.

There are many benefits that we will get from the forum as long as we are willing to learn and I am sure anyone will benefit. Even though starting without anyone directing it will be much more difficult, there is always a way when we study seriously. Never be complacent and continue to explore your abilities to get what you want and most importantly learn to be yourself.
