Did you start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ?

I got to know Bitcoin from someone with a less reputation on the internet. It was a good friend in the university, - ma his soul rest in peace. I can remember vividly we would always go there cybercafe and mine bitcoin using a website he shared to me. That was the first time i learned about it and started understanding the technology. Although i did not started investing in it because i have no money as a student but i always wished. When i left the university i got a job and though about investing in Bitcoin when i knew i can afford putting in some money other places.

So, i would say i started investing in Bitcoin because i was convinced by myself and saw the need to start investing as a man. Meanwhile i have already learnt about Bitcoin investment a long time ago.

I have also known bitcoin from a close friend of mine but I was never curious that time about bitcoin and so I just ignore about it. But when bitcoin has been known all over the internet, that’s the time I went on taking an in-depth research until I decided to join this forum first so that I can educate myself about bitcoin. There’s no celebrity or social media influencers dragged me into this, but certainly only myself. I invested into bitcoin not because it’s known as highly profitable, but because I have seen its high potentials that it will go blast in the future.

Choosing to study for yourself first before deciding to invest is of course very important and this can make us know what we can do or not, because if our investment decision is due to seeing other people or artists, it is very likely that we will do it. A big mistake that will cause us to lose the investment we make and I agree with what you are doing is not investing because of someone and preferring to study first so that we can find out exactly what we can do to get a profit from investing.

I see that current youth is inspired by celebrities and influencers in big way. Did you also start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? Or you know people who belong to that category ? Is it a wise decision to do so or we should do our own research for better results ?

You're right sometimes I keep wondering why most people will just jump into crypto investment without even thinking of getting the necessary information about crypto investment before looking out to invest, sometimes this happens as a result of  informations we get in the social media  it might be from celebrities, most people after getting such information they will just rush out to invest without even understanding how crypto investment works, that is why most  people there first appearance in this crypto space is just to experience lose reason is because they failed to learn about how crypto investment works.

I know Bitcoin from the internet. None of my friends knew Bitcoin at that time. I was surfing local social media forums and Facebook and at that time I found several discussions about Bitcoin. That was around 2013. But unfortunately because I didn't have a community and enough time I neglected to learn more. Until finally I heard about Bitcoin again in 2017 when it hit ATH at $3,000. At that time I was trying to learn about Bitcoin and trading exchanges. I regret why I didn't learn it earlier. But in that year, as far as I remember, there were no celebrities that I knew who discussed and influenced people to buy Bitcoin.

Celebrities promote and create awareness on brands they don't use or know of,they just promote and create awareness all because they are paid for it.Now the problem lies on your hands,after being informed about Bitcoin,how far have you made your research?
Most people dive into ponzi scheme just because an influencer advertised the project.And failure to carry out their own research they end up been scammed at the end of the day.Influencers are only carrying out their duty by promoting and creating awareness on projects not because they're into it but they paid for promoting and creating awareness.

No, we invest in Bitcoin because we really believe in Bitcoin and we have been paying attention and studying about Bitcoin for a very long time, this is a Digital Investment where the value is very good and the market is quite unique, following Bitcoin has been a very good thing while we have been in it, mostly Investors follow Bitcoin because they know it well, and not by being inspired by celebrities.
