How quick will altcoins recover?

Has now been 4 weeks since I started this thread and I though it was bad enough then 

Brutal few months now for crypto and I am not sure when we will start to recover, I was hoping we would this month but feel it may not be till April as there just feels like there is too much going on around Trump and his tariff wars right now. We just have to hold through these tough times and wait for the market to recover.

You don't need to worry yourself about the season we are now, and if you know you are hodling potential altcoins in this bear run you can add more altcoins you trust that they will bring you profits once the bull run occur. Today is the last day of the month of march and many altcoins price has dump again to show that the market will not recover quick soon, but there is a hope market will recover before the end of this year for hodlers to earn profit.

Altcoins fall quick when things are not going well , but they can pump just as fast when things are good again and that is what i am waiting for.

Especially when the price of BTC is falling in the market, you will begin to see majority of altcoins price will be falling too to make people know that bear run is no longer far from the market, and those that will understand the sign will begin to save money to buy potential altcoins in the future.

Well in just last 24 hours price of Bitcoin was up. So now we did also see price of the alt coins go up.
The alt coins with biggest marketcaps like Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Doge, and Cardano all did see gains in only last 24 hours. And I do think that is only because price of Bitcoin did go up.

BTC will fluctuate through 2025 and maybe come close to a new ATH, imo.

That's where alts should shine.

Altcoins are tied to bitcoin, even though some people try to reject that idea, it is just tied and there is no way around it and you have to accept it. So when the bitcoin price is failing to recover, there is no way that altcoins will recover during the same time. We need to realize things aren't always as simple as we thought it would be, and we need to be doing much better with our holding ability.

If you fail to hold and just sell, then you are not going to make any money from this. There are so many people who feared and panic and sold, and those people will regret in the future because there isn't a healthy way of making this work, so we need to just hold and not sell during this period to make some money.

Big day for Bitcoin & altcoins tomorrow with Trump to announce update with tariffs.

It has been a very bad few months for crypto mainly due to all this uncertainty around the tariffs.

I feel it will be a very volatile week but once we have some clarity with the tariff's hopefully the market can steady and Bitcoin can then start working its way up again towards $100k.

Well in just last 24 hours price of Bitcoin was up. So now we did also see price of the alt coins go up.

Yeah, that is what we should be looking into as well. I can see why that would be a big problem for many people but as long as we have what we have, this shouldn't really be a problem for many. Recovery happens all the time and some people doubt it but the reality is, we just have to learn to live with it, if we can do that then we could just focus on how to grow further with any of this.

Obviously, there are things that would be easier to make money from, like some blue chip stock, so you just buy and hold for decades for a little take. But if you want real money then you are going to end up with a lot more, and you should be getting bitcoin and some decent alts because recovery there happens very quickly.

Way I figure, blue chip stocks and crypto is apples and oranges.  Stocks play it safe and slow while crypto is a rollercoaster that might just hit the jackpot.  Both got their place depending what you are after -stability or shooting for the moon.  Just gotta know the risks before you throw your money down. 

at the end of the day, real money means different things to different people.  Some wanna play it safe others are willing to ride out the dips for a shot at life-changing returns.  Nothing wrong with either approach long as you educate yourself.

I like the confidence that some people have with altcoins.  Even the President of the United States seems to think they have value these days.  That's kind of cool from a tech nerd perspective, but I have to wonder what the future will look like.  Surely there won't be millions of different coins floating around that people are actually using.  Reminds me of the websearch battles of 25 years ago.  AskJeeves, Yahoo, altavista, and dozens of others thought they would all be used forever.  Then Google came around and ate all their lunch.  I suspect Bitcoin will end up being the winner, and sure, maybe Ethereum, BNB, or Solana might stick around the way Yahoo did, but most will disappear and there will emerge a single great winner.  I'm betting on Bitcoin.  You should too if you're serious about investing and your future.

It has been a brutal few weeks for altcoins and being 100% altcoins it has hit my portfolio hard.

My portfolio is still +62% despite this big correction but it was +180% back in December.

Do we think altcoins are going to recover as quick as they crashed?

I feel we just need some good news back in the market as it has been feeling like a bear market recently.

The altcoin market will recover when the Bitcoin bull run ends because that is the altseason moment, so if you hope that the altcoins you own will recover quickly, you will be disappointed.

Currently my portfolio in altcoin is only around 25% (currently minus around 30% from the price I bought it at) of the total crypto assets I have invested in, I increase my assets in bitcoin because it is immune to inflation and FUD.

There was a time where bitcoin pumps and alts were dumping so hard and that happened when BTC is climbing up its dominance, but generally that's right, alts usually always follow BTC's price action.
But that if people are willing to rotate their money after BTC rally finished, but the state of market right now is different and I don't expect much for alt to recover.

BTW, most of them are hitting all time low and its just keep dumping. I think the natural selection of alt is current playing out and eventually we will see massive delist of alts and dead alts in the market.

So true, but you forget not all of alts are getting hyped back like what they used to. Majority of alts went down so hard, and even reached new ATL.

The increase of Bitcoin this year may be changing the situation a bit. The impact from the last pump of BTC was not as big as what people expected.

There is also possibility for Bitcoin as the only asset gets pumped this year while alts stuck. You can be very optimistic over pump that happen to the alts when Bitcoin does it, but let's not forget if everything is different now.

Actually it will be that totally random but most of the timeon which Bitcoin will be the main trend setter or it is the basis of the trend. If its on deep reds then expect that that altcoins will follow along and this has become the standard on what this market could have. When altcoin season then this is the time on which altcoins will be going into the opposite side but of course it will be only into those selection of coins that will be able to have such increase in price. This is why holding does have also its con's too on which if a certain trend will be having a shift then those gains that you have earlier will be lessen or even the worst will be going into negative. This is why its important that you should be setting out some selling points or target profits and sold off those holdings so that whenever the market do make out som shift then you wont be having that sense of regret. How quick altcoins recover? No one really knows because we do know that this market is random and the movements cant really be that predicted. This is where your analysis and risks management will vary or would be test out. If you do have some bad experiences in the past about missing out good profits because of too much holding, then you will be able to realize those mistakes and on next time you do have already the idea on what you should gonna do since you do already have that awareness on how it do behaves or moves but still it cant be perfectly be done but at least you are already wary.

BTC always fluctuates, its price never becomes stable. 
By the way, I also hope for the new ATH because the peak of BTC price usually happens after 1 year of halving. Q3-Q4 of this year looks a proper time for the next ATH if we have good market condition and no bad issues anymore. Regarding the altcoins, it will shine if Bitcoin domination is declining massively and the market condition still looks good. Unfortunately, it seems quite difficult to see the decline of Bitcoin domination recently.

People's still have confidence because there is still a chance for altcoins season. If it seems unlikely to happen, I'm sure people will start to leave altcoins investment. Few weeks ago, there were many bad assumptions about altcoins future in this year. Some people even stated that there will be no altcoins season in this cycle. However, if we are true holders of altcoins, we must believe in the altcoins season.

Yep, US president (Trump) views altcoins as a valuable thing. That's why they have some altcoins in their crypto reserves.

Anyway, there should be many altcoins to be dead every year. It is because too many useless altcoins. Many of them have the similar concept, some have no strong fundamentals (even no fundamentals), and others are truly scams. There is no doubt that Bitcoin will be always the winner because it will always stay in the first place as the king of crypto coin. The number of its market caps clearly shows how people's trust Bitcoin.

The fate of altcoins pretty much rests with the US SEC. If the regulator doesn't approve staking in new crypto ETFs, altcoins will never hit Bitcoin's growth levels. These coins just won't be able to compete without the institutional money flowing into BTC

We understand the current market situation, investors only focus on Bitcoin, so it's hard for Altcoin to move, not surprised that many famous exchanges remove new or old altcoin, because the cross volume is less than almost non-existent.

We understand the current market situation, investors only focus on Bitcoin, so it's hard for Altcoin to move, not surprised that many famous exchanges remove new or old altcoin, because the cross volume is less than almost non-existent.

There are thousands of alts in the market with each alt claiming that it has novel features embedded inside and is best utility token. But in reality only handful alts have given good reward to their investors while majority failed to take off due to different reasons. In past we saw alts prices were tied with Bitcoin price moment but now investors are solely focusing on Bitcoin and that's why there is not much rise in price of alts despite Bitcoin touching ATH. The primary reason for this shift towards Bitcoin is that if Bitcoin governs the price of alts then why not invest directly in Bitcoin.
