I reckon that this speculated roadmap for him to take easier money might be a very bad mistake for King Ry. He is very much the same King Ry who had the very good victory against the crying Devin Haney. If I was in the managing team of Ryan Garcia, I would suggest that they should put their fighter to train with Eddy Reynoso and immediately go into negotiations with the scammer Tank's last opponent Lamont Roach and have this challenge on the super lightweight division or catchweight.

We can be quite certain that a victory for King Ry against Lamont Roach will cause the boxing news media to put him back in the conversation for a rematch against Tank or Haney.

Ryan is a full fledged welterweight now. Lamont Roach is a super featherweight and Tank is a small lightweight. However unfair the rehydration clause was, it is time to move on and focus on rebuilding his career at his natural weight. There is plenty of talent at welterweight like Boots, Norman, and Teofimo that Ryan can fight. For Tank and Roach there is Shakur, Zepeda and Keyshawn. The only reason for having a Garcia-Tank rematch would be to chase another payday, but that’s not what either of their careers need at this moment.

In any case, King Ry should prepare himself for more mental hardships after this because he is very much open to having depression again.
Could be. He was probably expecting this to be just a tune-up fight, especially since he’s scheduled for a big one against Haney (IIRC). So this loss is definitely hard to swallow. And now that Ryan’s slowly dipping into exhibition fights and using his popularity, it’s possible he might focus more on that easier money, less risk.

He previously said that he is mentally ok and might be moving on already.

Ryan still has some futures as 147 lbs, and still though who knows, maybe the fight with Devin Haney is still on the table even if he lost this fight. And I do agree with what @FinneysTrueVision, still a lot of good fights for him at welterweight, lots of good name that he can still make a lot of money.

Maybe he can rematch Romero if he wanted to.

I disagree. King Ry is not a welterweight, his body is small for this weight division. This might also be the big reason why he has lost against Rolly Romero. He is not as quick and his body might be heavy to carry in the ring.

This is headshaking because I speculate that the reason for King Ry's decision to fight in welterweight is laziness to remove the weight to fight in super lightweight. Also, they might have thought that King Ry's power punches might be stronger with more weight in his body without considering that this will be more difficult for him to carry the weight.

Where is @Boafeng and @bisdak40? I am waiting for their analysis hehehe.

@FinneysTrueVision. I was reading some news updates and it appears that you are correct. King Ry will be a welterweight boxer now and it appears that he will only do this to become only a social media and boxing idol. His statements in the post fight press conference implies that he is not chasing for a champioship. Also on welterweight, if he will chase a championship, we can be quite certain Boots Ennis will send him straight to stretcher heheheh.

A dejected Garcia knows his poor performance against Rolando “Rolly” Romero on Friday night diminished the marketability of his second showdown with Devin Haney. Garcia and Haney signed contracts to fight again sometime in October before Garcia stunningly lost to Romero in the main event of The Ring’s “FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves” card in Times Square.

Romero isn’t contractually obligated to a rematch with Garcia, but there is seemingly more interest in them fighting again than Garcia and Haney.

“You know, whatever the fans want,” Garcia said during his post-fight press conference. “If they want me to, you know, run it back with Rollies, let’s do it. If they want me to go straight for Devin, let’s do it. You know, styles make fights. And, yeah, I’m willing to fight any of them again.”

This also is causing me to speculate that King Ry might be losing on purpose because we already have witnessed that he also gambles on himself which also implies that he might gamble against himself hehehe.

It's very hard to think though that you will deliberately wanted to lose a fight. And it's not like the way it should be, he was really manhandled by a supposedly easier fighter and was knockdown. So it's very hard to lose that way if you want to take a dive. There is no news if Ryan really beat against him, but we all know that boxers bet for themselves and not to lose. In any case, there is no excuse, and probably the reason why he lost this fight and that maybe he did take lightly Rolly Romero, meaning he is overconfident and looking at Devin Haney as his next fight, or he is out of shape or the ring rust, or long layoff really take a toll on Ryan. Others might say that without those PED's Ryan is nothing and that could be proven in this fight.
