For me personally, RTP determines whether I'll play a particular game. I know that high RTP can indeed make the spins done better than low RTP, this is all directly proportional to the jackpot opportunities that may be obtained. The lower the RTP, the higher the chance of getting a jackpot (that's all I know). My conclusion is that RTP can be a factor for me in determining the game I play.

My experience with casino games makes me realise that RTP is nonsense, it's meaningless but just a way to attract more gamblers. Of course, if you see the RTP of 97%, you would want to quickly rush to deal with the casino but the reverse is the reality when you are playing. In the long run, yes, the RTP matters. But remember that the RTP is not based on just one player's game play. It is based on overall game plays. For example, let's say you rolled a hundred spins in certain games, another 10 players rolled a thousand more spins in the same game. Some of them did not win anything, but one of them won $150. Let's do a calculation now.

Let's say the value of each spin was 0.2 USD.
A total of eleven players rolled 1100 Spins and the total value was = $220.
Ten of them combined won only $60.
and one of them won $150.
Total win from all those 1100 spins is now $210.

Now, the total RTP is 95.45%.

Based on your experience, RTP doesn’t even feel like a factor when luck is on your side. Turning x10 in slots feels way easier compared to sports betting. If I won that much in sports betting, I’d cash out immediately. But in slots, it always feels like there’s still more room to grow the money, which keeps me going. of course rtp is very important. if you are playing small amounts with a big balance, the return on that money is very important. let me explain this with an example.

let's say we have a balance of $1000 in two different games. let's say the first game has an rtp of 97% and the second game has an rtp of 98%. normally an outsider looking in will see a small difference of about 1% between the two (1.010309% to be exact...)

but if you start playing with $100 bets in games with these rtps, and you win as much as your rtp (on average), in the game with 97% rtp your bankroll will halve after about 166 bets, while in the game with 98% rtp it will take 250 bets. what a significant difference, right?


now let's push the envelope a bit further, and let's say we find a game with 99.8% rtp. how many bets do you think it will take for our bankroll to halve again to $500? if you've made your predictions, the answer is 2500.

isn't that amazing? even though there is only less than 2% difference between 98% rtp , your money lasts 10 times longer.

Frankly, if you are just for fun, ignore RTPs. There is not a huge difference between RTPs, it mostly fluctuates between 92-99% RTP, so just play the slot that you enjoy the most. Does it matter if you lose your money on 1025th spin or 1036th spin? I think, it doesn't matter if you are here for fun. Also, you have to keep in mind that RTP applies to millions of bets, which means that short-term, it's not going to affect your profits, so there might be no difference between 99% RTP and 92% RTP if you want to play for a few hours.

It is on this forum that I am seeing people that are posting about it like they can not do without it. I go to casino to play the games that I like. I do not know their RPT at all and I do not need to know it.

While playing slots, if I do not like a slot game, I change it to another one. That is how I did it when I was a newbie in gambling. Because some slots can be frustrating.

Yes, at the end of the day the casinos have calculated everything in detail and they offer a game that has odds against the gambler.

They always try to make it as good as possible on the surface, but when you see the details, then it's like everything has been, odds better for the casino.
