I bring good news to everyone in the local board, the results of the Bitcointalk community awards has been announced and we actually delivered our people especially the people i mentioned in this thread which are CryptopreneurBrainboss, Igebotz and Charles-Tim , they won in the category of local hero, and our sister @SmartGold01 came third in the category of miss bitcointalk.
Our Naija cooking contest came third in the category of best event and Our Moderator @Igebotz came third in the category of the discovery of the year. congratulations to them all!

It's a huge win for not just the winners but to every member of the Nigeria local board. In addendum to this very congratulations I stand to say big congrats though it might come late but I am glad to see our top official who are working day and night to make our board stand attain what they desire as we all look forward in them. Very well then. It's good to see that our people all made it out in each of the categories they were all voted for. As a local board compared to our counterparts we can be said to be making progress in anything we put in our minds to do in unity and we sure going to do this bigger and better come next edition. Congratulations to all in your various categories.

What got. Me surprising is seeing how the Naija cooking contest made it through too even as it was in its maiden edition, am sure that with it continuing it's going to make it in the first runner up place come next edition of the BTT community awards.

You know most of our people who voted didn't include the Naija cooking contest in the category of the best event while some people only placed it in the 2nd and 3rd of their selection if not it could have probably come out first or as the first runner up but my happiness is that the contest really pulled weight because this is just the first edition and it got this kind of awareness so how much more will it become when we make it a regular contest just the pizza yearly contest of the general forum. Just like we stood unanimous in voting for CryptopreneurBrainboss in the category of local hero, if we put that kind of energy in upcoming future votings for community awards, the Naija Local Board will really bag a lot of rewards just like those that won $150 prizes, a lot of our local board members won the prize so it's a good achievement for us generally.

 Congratulations to those who win awards and prizes and also special twale to @Cryptoprenuerbrainboss on him award. I also congratulate Igebotz and Charles-Tim. Even though them come out as runners up, I still feel say special recognition need to dey given to them because nah them dey low-key push this forum, especially oue local space forward and for the Miss Bitcointalk wey Smartgold for collect,  but miss by four points to Lovesmayfamilis, e show say we don dey dey recognized for spaces like these and e mean say we need to dey continue for the work we dey put for this place.
 Eye service and yes-man behavior no dey carry any body go anywhere but hardwork and dedication nah sure and I sure say nah wetin people dey see wey dey make them vote.
I believe say more of we brothers and sisters go make am if this awards come up again next time. Infact the way I see am sef, e be say last time out not much of our people make am for the awards but this time was different.

Yeah, the pizza day contest was participated by the forum members generally, unlike the Naija cooking contest that only involved the local board members, so it was expected that the pizza day contest will have the higher votes. But since not so many people voted for the community awards, if majority of the local board members had voted for the Naija cooking contest it could have come close to the total votes of the pizza day contest even though we could have probably made it to the 2nd position but still, we are grateful for the little recognition it got.

Definitely, things of the general board comprises of the whole forum members so it is understandable but i still like the impact and efforts of our local board members because if i'm not mistaken, we have the highest voters compared to other local board

OMG, i assume a lot of people didn't read that part if not the voting strength could have been higher, many people felt less concerned even from the day one when the thread was opened till the last day it was locked.

 ) gets the rewards. nobody really care about the 2nd and 3rd places. It is only a placeholder position; if the winner decides not to take the rewards, it falls to the second place.
