However, the exact date and time have not been determined or known and I think it could happen before 2140.

Lol, but what's crazy though is that all of us here will not be there when the last Bitcoin is mined at it's obvious that it will take more than 100 years from now. And to think of it, 19.87m has been mined already.

So maybe in the next couple of halvings we might reach 20m and that we can say that almost all Bitcoin has been mined already. So for me, we shouldn't wait for 2140 or whatever year it was. We will somewhat experience it and then see how it goes for the last 1m.

Based on current date and simple math, we will reach 20m mined bitcoin early next year and next halving will occur on 2028, 3 years from now. And the next 1m bitcoin will be mined through that 100+ years before all is mined which is normal since mining block rewards will be much lower after every halving.

From what I gather the last bitcoin will probably be mined around the year 2140 if everything keeps going as it is. The reward keeps becoming less every four years so it takes more and longer to achieve the whole supply. Even though miners will get less bitcoin over time they’ll still gain from transaction fees so the network can keep running.
