The signed message on the website checks out. Like the blog said, I believe Chainalysis painted a very distorted picture about the situation. They want headlines for deanonymizing the source of the funds so that they can get contracts from law enforcement, but they don’t want to show us how they arrived at their conclusion. If they actually had to provide evidence, people would realize they are mostly just snake oil salesmen who expect everyone to take them at their word based on their reputation.
When the system is corrupt and eager to put away anyone who dares challenge their authority, of course the legal system is going to side with Chainalysis, but this does not mean there aren’t massive flaws with their methodology.
As for Ross, I don’t think any amount of money will get him to publicly start questioning the banks and the global financial system. Anybody in his position would be terrified to step out of line after going through what he did. He will just say some basic pro-crypto stuff but that’s about it.
