The Sevilla curse was at full capacity last night right ? After Sevilla managed to win so may Europa League trophies in the last decade and not only , it was kinda normal that another team from Sevilla won't win it no matter who is playing. Sure , Betis has a great team , had a great run until finals but with those defenders you simply cannot keep Chelsea from scoring and eventually winning.

Overall , Chelsea way better than Betis in all 90 minutes and clearly a way better final than Spurs vs United

Yeah, I thought as much too, I didn't see seriousness from either Manchester United or Tottenham in that European League final, maybe because Tottenham were more defensive and Manchester United attackers were clues so the tempo of the match wasn't high, there were not much key moments and Manchester United kept missing key chances, Tottenham couldn't even create much chances if not for the lucky goal they had, anyways Congratulations for my team once again.

I don't agree, it was a game of two halves IMO, Betis were better in the first half and Chelsea showed their class in the second 45 minutes. That said, all of this don't matter anymore, Chelsea won the trophy and that's what matters, though the Conference League is not the trophy they hoped to win after spending a billion pounds, but it is what it is, they found themselves in the competition and showed why they are better than everyone else competing in the Conference League.

Chelsea went from winning champions league just few years ago, to major restructuring a lot of strange business decisions (player recruitment) but still ended up winning an European trophy -- Silverware is the currency of club football success.

When Betis were leading, even if they were dominated Chelsea in the first half i knew Chelsea was about to win it. Why? Because they didn't missed a lot like Betis did in the first half. You know when you're playing everything your coach instructed you to play, but the go isn't going anywhere near a win?  A lower league team in the laliga doesn't have a chance against a premier League team. You are right, look at MU, they were initially rich because of the sale of Beckham, Ronaldo, Rooney and others, wealth from sponsors, now experiencing financial difficulties due to poor management, spending a lot of money, but minimal achievements. City, if not supported by Arab businesses, their fate might be sad. As I remember, City's performance improved after the purchase by Arab Businessmen. Chelsea with current limited funds, getting the Conference League title, is still better than City who got nothing this season. they even lost to Leicester. If anyone says, Chelsea is lucky, of course they are, but one more than just saying it's just a luck factors, still getting the title is always become a special achievement. even though it's only a minor trophy.

No need to wait for next season, that's too long. In the near future the blues squad will appear in the most prestigious football competition in the world, the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Big teams like Manchester City, PSG, and Real Madrid have started preparing for the competition, let's see what the blues squad will show in this competition. They have a pretty good squad, they should be able to do it if they only reach the round of 16.

And back again talking about yesterday's final match between Chelsea VS Real Betis, initially I thought that this match would present extraordinary competition and intensity from both teams, but it turned out to be wrong, it turned out to be a one-sided massacre, Chelsea really performed amazingly in the second half.

Real Betis was successful in the first half, they make Chelsea's players become difficult to create chance. But, after Maresca replace Neto with Sancho, it gives Chelsea to have more creativity.

Pellegrini has no more strategy, Real Betis is playing with their old strategy that always they use, this make them can't comeback.

On the contrary, I don't think it's an issue of not losing games, sometimes you could be leading and yet end up losing at the end, these things happen in football, especially when you lose concentration, several years ago we saw how Liverpool came from behind to equalise a three goal deficit from Milan and took them to penalties and won, it's a pretty hard thing to do in football but a lot of clubs have done it so for me I don't think it has to do with the character of a particular team because if the opponents doesn't allow it then it wouldn't happen anyway.

I think if as a team you're leading with just a single goal in a game  with much time left to play, it's actually preferable to retain pressure to find more goals than having to seat back and rather absorbing pressure trying to defend a 1 goal that can easily be cancelled by your opponent and if your defense isn't as sturdy as it ought to be for such tactic then you'll  be heading for a doom just as it happened to Real Betis.

What are your thoughts on the Conference League in general?
Do we really need 3 separate UEFA European cups? How many is too many?
I understand that more games = more revenue etc, but there should be some limits. I think it would be best if they just increased the number of participants in the Europa League, or maybe expand the Champions League and just don't bother with any lower-ranked inter-club competitions.

Too many competitions in one season can dilute the prestige of each of them, and football fans could get overwhelmed by the number of games being played to the point of losing interest.

I wouldn't worry too much about big clubs not wanting to participate. This season's winner, Chelsea, is a big club and it seems they took the competition fairly seriously (with some occasional flops like losing to Legia in front of the home crowd).
And if big clubs were not interested, they could simply refuse to participate and give away their spots to other teams, or they could let the second-suit players have a go.

To me, it's more about the prestige of all UEFA competitions. By inventing too many cups running simultaneously, they just dilute the value of each of them and they make the whole thing look a bit silly, like just a money-grab scheme to squeeze out some extra cash from the football fans.
