Raising tariffs only blocks trade for those countries themselves. The world is now so globalized that any country increasing tariffs isolates itself and ends up doing harm to its own economy.

Donald Trump has been trying his best to make sure that he sanction countries that are support BRICS or part of the BRICS nations and we shouldn't be surprised about that because he doesn't want power to shift from the United States to another nation. Every country is going to do them because of the world dump the USD, this will reduce the dominance of the United States on so many countries of the world.

As we can see, the tariff war is also reducing American power in the world and even worse it destroy its local economy by iys own hands. Countries decided to rise tariffs back to all its USA imports and search new markets for its exports. He is foolish thinking China will suffer from rising tariffs because if China decided tomorrow to stop exporting Soybean to USA, no wonder a great percentage of the american economic structure would fall.
USA rises the tarrifs every round of years for financial/monetary/economic reasons but never to blackmail others. All precedent administrations in the white house rose tariffs but never in this insane way to destroy itself. America can't friendship the whole world netheir fight the whole world. It will fall faster than expected if they don't stop this old mad man in the white house and send his whole team to a psychology facility to get faster treatment before harming themselves.

From what I can see, Trump is playing a game he can not finish because I don't see a good reason why he is fighting different countries through tariff and the worse part is that his closest allies are part of these shits of a tariff saga. I just hope Trump which has been one of my favorite so far would think twice and reduce the way he is sanctioning countries with tariff.
Right now the India prime minister is skeptical on what action to take against the Trump tariff because we know that before now, the United States and India has maintaining a good rapport which has been keeping the two countries bonded when it comes to trade.

He uses tarrifs as a means of fight to blackmail others including those called USA friends. Let's be clearly honest, he knows very well that he is the first biggest loser in this war against economic allies. He maybe succeeded in subjugating some coutries like Canada or Mexico, but he can't do so with countries like China or India. Check reports today to find that tarrifs on India will just hit 50% of total imports means not everything, and suspension of augmented tarrifs of Chineese goods for 90 days. He can't find everybody like he can't friend everybody as well. Trump is dumb to thinnk that he can reduce chineese power by rising tariffs because he would weaken himself intentionally.

Hinting on strategy... Somebody told me in a random discussion that the main reason the US has been so adamant on annexing  Canada to be the 51 state of the US is part of a means to strengthen their global political and economic power  which will greatly impact on the value of the US dollar and it's dominance on other countries currencies.  Meanwhile Trump is claiming that it's because that Canada depends on the US and hence they should be annexed as 51 state.

That's a correct analysis. To increase their geopolitical and economic strength, this colony requires a lot of resources, and also to regain its lost power and get ahead once again like the time they used to be ahead right after WW2. It is not just Canada either. Greenland is the same with large amount of resources which they are trying to annex. Same with Panama that has a very strategic geography with its strategic canal.

Also don't forget that after WW2 the US regime has not won any war whatsoever.

Okay let's shift to the past war the United States was not able to defeat. If you take a look at the Vietnam war between 1955 to 1975, the US lost soldiers and finally gave up because they could not defeat the Vietnam soldier even when they were fighting with aging ammunition.

I am not from any BRICS nations, I can say that looking from outside, both sides looks like they are just trying to look like they are about to start another cold war, this time use tariffs and trade wars instead of weapons or anything like that based on military. They will battle on who has the best EV, they will battle on Oil prices and who has the most, and they will battle on natural resources around the world etc.

This will of course be a very limited amount of issue, and because of that we are going to end up with a lot better result for the rest of the world. Because when you fight, you guys both get weaker, and that means we look strong compared to you, not stronger than you, but the gap will grow closer.

Do you say that everybody is searching a way to escape from the actual global economy which is in it's fast way to fall? Then i may think about three points:
One is a closed economy like in North Corea depending only on local national resources, which i find i great solution if we ignore the isolation from the global economy.
Two is the BRICS project which offer new model for global trading that doesn't depend on the US dollar dominance, without the ally to exceed economic approach. Not military ally, just a strategic agreement to get rid of the actual system of continious crisis.
Three is that USA is the biggest loser if such a scenario could happen because its only key power is the Dollar.

The ~$1 trillion war budget is only big on paper. In reality it is very small.

1. The purchase power is weak
Due to inflation and dollar losing value in addition to how the arms dealers in the US produce extremely expensive weapons, the war budget cannot fulfill the demands. For example Northrop Grumman manufactured one of the most advanced aircrafts for the US Navy (only 4 produced IIRC) worth $220 million and called it the Global Hawk or MQ-4C Triton. During a US regime's act of aggression toward Iran a couple of years ago (during Trump's first term) Iran shot this down easily with a single surface-to-air missile that barely cost a grand (that's more than a 200,000x difference for the value you get for a dollar).

2. Most of it goes for expenses and paying for the illegal bases in various countries around the globe.
Having soldiers deployed in another country (eg. the illegal occupation of Iraq and Syria) costs a lot of money. There is their salaries, the equipment, the cost of fuel for the aircrafts that waste time flying in the regions, the cost for the navy, ... a big chunk of that massive budget is being wasted like this on pointless presences.

3. A lot of it is stolen and swallowed by the corruption
Being spread this much all around the world in all continents and having thousands of military bases with commanders in each of them creates a lot of corruption in both higher ranks and lower ranks. When they throw money at it (the ~$1 trillion), that corruption soaks a lot of it. To put simply, the countless corrupted officers and generals and whatnot steal the money.

I don't know if you are following the news on BRICS, the organisation is expanding with more nations willing to join. Concluding that an organisation that accounts for more than 46% of the world's population and 35% of global gross domestic product shouldn't be underrated. With the constant global bullying by the US through tariffs, more nations that are seeking alternative global economic partnership might join BRICS.

The organization's growth might be slow, but it has been progressive.
