The bigger issue? Prioritization. EPL clubs do treat the Europa like a "secondary project" because the Top-4/5 UCL race is worth way more, while Italians put prestige on Europe. Still, Italy has just received its first UEL trophy last year (Atalanta). That is development, but too late. To really tip it, Serie A clubs need to stop selling their best (like Bologna cashing in €61m profit this summer while Arsenal and United burned through £250m+ each). I didn't have much faith in Paok team but I did have faith in Lucescu Jr that will somehow qualify further and they did it in fashion with 5-0 and it looked like they could have score up to 10 but due to respect for the other team they stopped at 5.

I personally cheered for FCSB to qualify tonight and make a great game and I was not disappointed because they won with a clean 3-0 and now my favorite team is back 2 back in UEL and I'm really proud of this team.

And the result was, not only convincing themselves of victory, but also a 5-0 thrashing of Rijkea. This gave PAOK a 5-1 aggregate victory and their place in the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

Samsunspor's power wasn't enough against Panathinaikos. Yesterday, Samsunspor played very well, especially in the first half. Emre Kılınç's position, in particular, saw the ball hit the goalkeeper's head, and a goal was almost certainly missed.

Fenerbahce is given 34.00 odds to win. I am sorry but thats seriously weird. Yes, I agree that Fenerbahce will not win this neither, there is no way they will. They just sacked Mourinho, because they were doing terrible with him, and I am sure they will do badly with whoever they end up hiring.

However, Some of these teams are funny, Celta Vigo? Basel? Freiburg? Bologna? Really? FEYENOORD? Seriously, the team they beat with 5 goals? Those guys have higher chance? Odds are seriously badly made for this season. Still not a good bet, because they will lose, but because some bigger team like Roma or Villa will win, not because Fener is worse than these teams.

And if that smaller team gets lucky and win just one game against a better team, suddenly they could be even at the finals. So we can't really predict who will win, it could be anyone.

I don't understand what you mean by saying that Italian teams are always favorites in the European League. Yes, Italian teams would have been favorites if Manchester United and Tottenham, among others, had not participated in the European League. You must have seen the final match of the European League last season where no team from the Italian League could qualify for the final, but two teams from the English Premier League qualified for the European League final and Tottenham won the title by defeating Manchester United by a margin of 1-0. This season too, I would say that the English Premier League teams will do well in the European League, especially Manchester United. This team has made some changes in their squad, so they will have a great chance to win the European League title this season.
