An emotional moment it was for Tottenham when they won the cup last season, it was such a special time for both fans and players given the many years they’ve gone without a trophy, any trophy at all and then the departure of Kane came with a trophy for Son and the other faithfuls. Many of us still believe it was a lucky win for them as, their chances of beating Manchester United was much unlikely yet, they managed it.
Don’t see them defending it this season though.

It will be one of the events Türkiye has long longed for, and we will be watching the final in İstanbul. This makes me very happy. The finals of tournaments like this are always legendary and contribute greatly to the city's promotion. It's wonderful to be able to watch the season's best teams play in one of the world's most beautiful cities, and the fact that it will be at Beşiktaş's home ground makes it an extra treat.

I hope we watch a great tournament without any injuries. Considering that some very strong teams are competing here, I'm already looking forward to the matches we'll be watching

Tottenham as depending champion will not playing on this competition again it because they deserved to playing on champion league for next season but i wonder why Tottenham has been fired Ange Postecoglou because i think this is not fair although on Premier league Tottenham only finish at 17th place but Ange Postecoglou has successfully to bring Tottenham to get the trophy after 17 years
If we talking about the favourite i think Aston Villa, Real Betis and AS Roma can be considered as strong candidates for the title but unfortunately we won't see Manchester United playing in this competition because although they are the finalist but Manchester United have failed to reach to Europa League spots on Premier League

I liked the choice of final venue. Besiktas has one of the most lovely stadiums among Turkish teams. Considering the location of it as well, it is really good for tourists to have an unforgettable night too. 

Will we see a Turkish team in the finale this time I wonder... I don't think so about Besiktas but maybe Fenerbahce can give it another push with Mourinho in case of dropping down from the Champions League qualifiers.

But still not easy to perform among some stronger European teams...

If Fenerbahçe fails to perform well in the Champions League qualifiers, they will be relegated to the Europa League. If they do, I think they have a chance. Jose Mourinho has been looking to build a better squad. Furthermore, some older players have been let go. They seem to be a team hungry for success, and they've signed a very good player, John Duran. They also have quality players. Milan are reportedly nearing the finalization of the transfer for Skriniar. If they can make this transfer permanent, the Portuguese manager could build a team strong enough to qualify for the Europa League with the addition of a few midfielders and wingers.

Tottenham had a similar trajectory to Manchester United last season. They played really well in the Europa league despite their poor performances in the Premier League last year, they suffered injuries that had big impact on their season so I think for them to be able to defend their title they will have to make some crucial signings to improve their squad.

It looks like Beşiktaş is not ready for the match against Shakhtar Donetsk. Right-back transfer hasn't happened yet. No wing transfers were made. Most of the players who played in the friendlies are bad players who should be sent off. The team has yet to play a game with its ideal 11 and the season officially opens this week. Shakhtar Donetsk showed their readiness with the previous round.

It's going to be a tough match. Winning the first match is very important. We trust Tammy Abraham and Rafa Silva. Orkun Kökçü hasn't played yet. Gedson is injured. With Semih and Mustafa also injured, the rotation is getting tighter. Options are limited. The players who will play must give their all. Because whoever doesn't pass this round will not be able to continue in Europe. Beşiktaş cannot afford to say goodbye to the Europa League in the first round they play after investing so much.

I think things wouldn't change significantly even if Beşiktaş completed their signings for the new season. They'd still have difficulties in eliminating Shakhtar in that case either.

Don't get me wrong on this. In fact this is valid for all Turkish teams. I'm afraid they just can't be ready yet when they play qualifier matches this early. 

Arda Turan has made a striking start at Shakhtar. Even though their local league didn't start yet they looked solid in the previous round.

It will be a big achievement for Beşiktaş to make it to the finals of this tournament. Although I wouldn't bet on them to win it because of the calibre of clubs that are in the Europa League. But playing before a home fan base would be historic. Galatasaray is the only Turkish club that has won a European competition when they lifted both the Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup in 2000. Maybe Beşiktaş can become the second.

This past season was a remarkable season for clubs who were suffering from winning trophies for long. Tottenham was able to win Europa League and PSG was able to win the Champions League for the first time in history. Newcastle also won their own trophy after a long time. United was unlucky in that finals, because they dominated the match, won possession but couldn't score any goal.

It was even United that caused an own goal which made the difference in the match. However, this coming season will be a different one, because we might see a different club entirely winning the Europa League like we have seen it in the past two seasons.

Last season, Roma eliminated by Athletic Bilbao at 16 of round after losing aggregate over 4-3 indeed winning at the first leg match with score 2-1, regarding new format of Europe League not any eliminated team from Champion League I think have bigger opportunity for Roma qualifying until semifinal or final round exactly under new manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

UEFA Europe League teams for awhile have 13 club and waiting for the club eliminated from UEFA Champion League playoff round, regarding the participant teams awhile I think not only AS Roma but also Aston Villa last season played at Champion League have opportunity will reach higher round until semifinal or reach final round.

Tottenham had an automatic swing to play in the Champions League, it will be lots of competition for them next season. So far, Tottenham are trying to upgrade their squad which  they really are in demand of because Champions League is no where to play without a tough squad in which Tottenham are lacking at the moment.

During the Europa League final, it was a 50/50 deserving win for any of the team, unfortunate for Manchester United who were observed to be the favorite side didn't played well and lost the title to Tottenham, not just a lucky win.

Speaking about Crystal Palace i think their fans is very dissapoint to see UEFA decision it because their team have to disqualification and their ticket will be replaced by Nottingham Forest and as far i know Nottingham Forest has good history during their participant on Europa competition even if i am not mistaken Nottingham Forest can gets champion league trophy twice
Last season Nottingham Forest have done well because they can finish at 7th place at the end of season and i will not putting them into strong candidates lists for the trophy but if Nottingham Forest can performing just liked last season i think they can being an dark horses team in this competition who have a potention to make the big teams struggle to beat them

I consider this league as one of easy gateway of club who actually wish to play in champions League to have an opportunity to do so if only they can emerge as the winner because if not for this league we cannot even be talking about Tottenham to be a qualified candidate of champions League, so actually since this league has paved way for them another will also have the opportunity this season and is going be a long league for them all but considering Nottingham Forest performance on the premier League and Aston Villa they could be another English teams on the finals again.
