With this experience, does it motivate you to play even more, depositing money again or just out of frustration, just decided to stop and not play anymore?

Well, after you find yourself in a similar situation many times, you become accustomed to it... so what will we do after the next "near miss experience" depends on the mood & balance in that moment. It's foolish to say anything now... whether you will continue or stop to play, because whatever you choose now can change in that moment of heat.

And it's like a normal thing... we are humans, not rocks... We change our minds a lot, and our emotions play a big role in that.

And it's like a normal thing... we are humans, not rocks... We change our minds a lot, and our emotions play a big role in that.

However, someone who is addicted and unable to control themselves when gambling can become harder than a rock  Grin. no matter how much insight and advice from everyone, they will reject it. They will continue gambling, using anything they have to chase win the jackpot. If they have lost a significant amount, they may trying to find shortcuts to continue gambling even though they have already lost and exceeded their limit such as borrow money or selling something he have without thinking their future. Their minds have seen near misses repeatedly, their desire to gamble will start to trap them with the wishful thinking "maybe this near miss is a signal the big win after few more spins"

Frankly speaking, near miss would motivate me to make another try. Because that will mean that I am doing everything correct, «my luck» is on a maximum, and my prediction was 99% correct. I even think that if I there will be another near miss in next bet, I would bet again. That does not mean that this is addiction, I would call it more as a curiosity. I can speak about this so lightly, because I am not very addictive gambler. I never had troubles to stop, which gives me space to test things and repeat bets.

Many of us here might have experienced what we call near misses, like those who played slot machines and could have won a "major", but unfortunately you pick the wrong character and then you slide down to "minor" or "mini" win.

And then you said to yourself if you could have pick the right one, then maybe is the major jackpot or even grand (the biggest).

With this experience, does it motivate you to play even more, depositing money again or just out of frustration, just decided to stop and not play anymore?

My personal self as an example, surely, near miss motivated me initially when I started gambling newly. When you pick games to play, like sports betting where I major, and at the end of the day, only just a game or two lost or didn't play accordingly as you predicted, out of the many options you picked, there is this feeling that if you had removed that particular one, you would have won this bet. So many times, you start blaming yourself why you ever added that same game that lost, lol.

Such experiences and feelings makes you want to try the note because you feel you would get it write. But the losses of the near misses are just part of it all.. it will always happen, it is gambling, very difficult to predict rightly. So as I got into gambling for long, I began to understand that there is nothing like experience or knowing too much, losses must be always there and wins scarce. With this much experience, near misses doesn't motivate me anymore, instead, it reminds me daily the reason why I should stop.

Those who still gets motivated by there bear misses, it's normal, with time, they would understand that betting is just like that and isn't really easy to get a win. At that time, they would know better wehter near misses is a motivating factor of warning factor.

I don’t sport bet anymore, but I would say it’s better to lose completely than to experience a near miss. Because that near miss messes with your head in a way a big loss doesn’t. Every time I funded my account, I’d start thinking, “If I just do things differently this time, that big win will definitely come.” And of course, I’d test that new theory in my head, again and again.
near misses make you feel like you’re just one step away from hitting it big, it will trick you into believing you’re getting closer, when in reality, you’re just feeding the system more. The experience wasn’t funny at all, it drain will you mentally and financially. nevertheless i’m grateful for the experience.
