Many of us here might have experienced what we call near misses, like those who played slot machines and could have won a "major", but unfortunately you pick the wrong character and then you slide down to "minor" or "mini" win.
And then you said to yourself if you could have pick the right one, then maybe is the major jackpot or even grand (the biggest).
With this experience, does it motivate you to play even more, depositing money again or just out of frustration, just decided to stop and not play anymore?
My personal self as an example, surely, near miss motivated me initially when I started gambling newly. When you pick games to play, like sports betting where I major, and at the end of the day, only just a game or two lost or didn't play accordingly as you predicted, out of the many options you picked, there is this feeling that if you had removed that particular one, you would have won this bet. So many times, you start blaming yourself why you ever added that same game that lost, lol.
Such experiences and feelings makes you want to try the note because you feel you would get it write. But the losses of the near misses are just part of it all.. it will always happen, it is gambling, very difficult to predict rightly. So as I got into gambling for long, I began to understand that there is nothing like experience or knowing too much, losses must be always there and wins scarce. With this much experience, near misses doesn't motivate me anymore, instead, it reminds me daily the reason why I should stop.
Those who still gets motivated by there bear misses, it's normal, with time, they would understand that betting is just like that and isn't really easy to get a win. At that time, they would know better wehter near misses is a motivating factor of warning factor.
