Pope Francis Passes Away

It's a celebration of life for the pope to die at age 88 considering the fact people rarely live beyond 90 in our world today. He was indeed a great pope who was widely loved in the Catholic family and by the Christians as well.
His passing out after the Easter's celebration is a great significant that he has fulfilled his mission on earth and he has gone to be with his maker.

My condolences goes to his immediate family, the Catholic family and the Christians family at large.

I have this theory (hypothesis?). The New Testament Gospel books have a lot of talks by Jesus that seem to say that you can have anything you want. An example from Matthew chapter 7 is: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

Since Jesus said this, why is it that the Church doesn't have people who are several hundred years old, at least? Could it be that the Church isn't really a Christian church after all?

Roman Authorities Investigating Jesus For Violating Stay-In-Tomb Order

After crucifying him and laying him in the tomb, Roman guards put Him under strict orders to stay there and not come back, rising victorious over sin and death.

But Jesus, answering to a higher authority, refused to stay dead and busted out of the tomb, establishing a kingdom that would never end -- again, in clear violation of the government's orders.

"Jesus is a dangerous rebel, refusing to bend the knee to Caesar and not abiding by the law of sin and death," said one Roman official. "He clearly broke the law by leaving the tomb, and we're going to be issuing a citation and placing him under mandatory quarantine for these crimes."

After coming into contact with many large groups over the course of approximately 40 days, Jesus ascended into heaven and is currently thought to be reigning on high.

Authorities are also investigating Him for planning to gather with a large multitude of every tribe, tongue, and nation. He says he currently has no plans to obey any earthly king on the matter, pressing ahead with the gathering of those who believe He died and rose again and trust Him alone for their salvation.

The Vatican said he died as a result of stroke and heart failure. Of course, stroke is a killer cardiovascular disease that only few have survived, it blocks the flow of blood to the brain which is very deadly. Pope Francis lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation as a Catholic leader. My condolences to Catholics worldwide and may the soul of the faithful departed rest in perfect peace. Who will now become the next Pope?

I think the Vatican is going to have a Conclave shortly after his burial to Elect a New Pope..

For someone who doesn't believe in scientific process, using words like hypothesis is funny. There's a reason it's called faith, so you wouldn't need to test it, and how would you test that theory anyway?

Also, what does anyone's age has to do with this? Are you implying that everyone in church wants to live several hundred years? Why is that?
Isn't this whole religion basically an overgrown death cult, where goal is just waiting for the afterlife and main price is a house in the sky?

I never really followed his journey as a pope but from the records I've seen on social media I think it's okay to say that pope Francis was a good Man and he had love for humanity, it's sad that he had to join his creator when the world still needs people like him, but at 88yrs old his health was weak and was not match for stroke as only few survived stroke. I hope we get a younger pope this time with a kind heart and love for humanity.

However, he was a good example for us all. We don't know when our last breath will come. So, we need to be reminded by the death of the Pope that it could come at any time. This should cause us to focus on the future life - the Heavenly life of the future - really finding out what it is that God requires of us to be able to enter into eternal life with Him.

He was a strong man who was passionate about his role as the head of the Catholic Church. His predecessor Pope Benedict XVI resigned in 2013 after serving eight years as the head of the Church due to health issues and old age. But  Pope Francis refused to resign even in the face of failing health and old age because he wanted to continue his humanitarian work. He indeed fought illness until he succumbed this month.

Heh, even though I don't always politically align with the articles and satire being published by Babylonbee, I must admin they sometimes manage to get a giggle out of me with their non-sense kind of humor.
It is a good thing they have been allowed to return to Twitter/X and continue to mocking modern society and use their free speech to point out to some of the most obvious flaws of the political left in the United States.

Yeah, I think he was the second most liked after late Pope John Paul. Well, death is inevitable and the necessary price every mortal being must pay. Death is that gift humans don't like. Howbeit, it's a necessary gift 🤔.

I don't like talking about the private lives of people because I don't know what they do in their closets. So, I won't be in a position to talk about late Pope Francis' acclaimed humility.

Anyway, his death should be a point of reflection for those of us living that it's turn by turn to answer that call of death.

Sad news came today as Pope Francis, the 266th leader of the Catholic Church, passed away.  He had been elected Pope back in 2013, taking over for Benedict XVI.  As the first Jesuit Pope the first one from Argentina and South America, and the first non-European Pope in centuries, Francis made history from the start.  

He will be remembered most for connecting with regular folks - being humble and caring about the poor, the forgotten, those pushed aside and  his constant message of love and community paved the way for the Church in todays world.  From early on, Francis spoke out for social justice, taking care of the environment, and bringing religions together.  He called out inequality capitalism that leaves people behind, and global systems that are unfair.  By frequently meeting impoverished communities and refugees, he was calling the world to humanity.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Pope Francis passing. It feels like we have lost not just a religious leader, but a truly compassionate soul. My thoughts are with all those who are grieving his loss.  

I never knew we still have this kind person of Francis Pope in this world, but the question is .did we still have this kind persons again, I doubt it because he's a man of sincerity. now everybody is not facing politics may God really help us

May he rest in peace, a man who gave his life to others & served God. He reached the very pinnacle of his chosen path & will be fondly remembered. I am interested to see who the next Pope will be, his successor. We should have a decision on that soon. Death is a debt that everyone owns ,and we must pay it one day, and what matters is how prepared are you to pay your debt when it's requested, and that is why it's very important for one to live a life of emulation,holy life that when the death knocks on you door and you answered,you will be remembered for your good deed and you will be seeing life well spent just like we all are saying about the death of our pop Francis,and there will be rejoicing in heaven for your arrival and not the life that people will be saying this evil man or woman have finally died and people will be laying a course on you instead of praying for you,so what I am saying is that , our pop Francis have fulfill his mission here on earth and goes home to rest and i wish him safe journey and may his soul and souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace amen..
