There are 8 of these 10oz silver rounds left for sale in the NastyShop.  I will likely buy a few of these or possibly all of the remaining ones for my personal collection in the near future, but wanted to give folks a heads up first.  These coins are pretty expensive as a result of the ever increasing seat price, but luckily the price of Bitcoin has been rising as well so they are amongst the cheapest they've ever been priced in BTC (price is set in USD but payable in BTC).  I am also looking into ways to have the seats sellable digitally once the coin is peeled, for those who may be concerned with the ability to cash them out for full value in the future as opposed to trying to find buyers in the secondary market.

Has anyone put together a chart showing the ROI from owning BTC VS purchasing a seat?   It seems like a one sided trade where the buyers are losing massive amounts of purchasing power.

Why would you compare Bitcoin to a silver coin? Why would you single out these collectibles to be measured against Bitcoin and no other collectible here? Sounds like you have some weird axe to grind or something. These are awesome coins and compared to any other collectible here, I think you will find their performance to be far above average and once the seats can be claimed the cash in value will significantly outperform the S&P500, gold, real estate, or any other traditional asset while also providing downside protection over a straight Bitcoin investment. I’m not selling people a Bitcoin replacement or telling people not to buy Bitcoin. I’m selling people a unique and awesome silver coin. One I believe will provide among the best returns of any physical coin available to buy new in the world at this time. Saying you are losing purchasing power by buying one is a flat out lie.

These have a positive ROI to the $662 sales price even if you only include the seat value and ignore all BTC distributions and the silver value. What other unloaded coin could say that?

The only way NastyFans ever received any Bitcoin is through donations and you can view our weekly distribution amounts on the website. These coins were released as a fundraiser for the club. The fact they are profitable for buyers is pretty awesome and it is weird people try to downplay that. That being said, NastyMining continues to support with donations (as evidenced by our streak of weekly distributions) and has no plan to stop. In fact, I am exploring numerous ways to put our $1.85 million dollar savings to work to increase donations. Expanding our mining footprint from the current solo mining operation is one such way.

Yes, I know it is thru donations ie sales and that NastyMining donated - I was asking if you were still mining - which from your answer sounds like yes and that is what I wanted to know.


Oh, and the reason why I was asking about mining is that the nastymining hash rate shows as 0 h/s  - is the site down? or are you mining to another pool that the site just doesn't report the statistics for?

My coin engraving queue got up to 119 coins due to a rush of silver wallets and 5oz minted seats being ordered as inventory was cleared out for those items...  I am back down to 100 now and plan to work the engraver pretty hard next week to try and get caught up and all orders out the door.  Once that happens, I will order the remaining stock of these 10oz coins (or sooner if I see a few being ordered) and they will be completely sold out forever.  The 1oz minted seats won't be too far behind them either...

Out of curiosity, how many seats have been allocated from the original 30,000 so far?

All of them are "allocated" but not everyone chooses to receive distributions.  You can find this information on the NastyFans thread.

There are 30,000 seats in a club of Bitcoin enthusiasts. NastyMining provides goods (like these coins) and services to raise donations for those seats. NastyMining has also pledged to buy back seats for 1/30,000 of whatever is held in the public address. Currently that is around 1.9 million dollars or about $64 per seat.

I think I have narrowed down the issue that has some people upset. There is currently no way to separate and sell seats from the coins, so people who don’t have digital seats have to rely on the coin resale market to benefit from NastyMining’s savings value increase. I think there will be a solution for that in the coming months. I believe there are around 4,000 seats that have been minted, so this would potentially unlock around a quarter million dollars for minted seat owners.

I received another handful of orders since this was posted, but I have been busy working the engraver (11 more coins engraved just now) and the queue is currently down to 98 coins.  So be aware if you order one of these coins it will probably be 2-3 weeks before I actually engrave and ship it.

Just got done engraving another batch of coins.  This brings the queue down to 90 coins remaining to be engraved and then I will end sales of this 10oz variant and purchase the remaining stock for myself personally.  I had wanted to do this on 10/10 because 10oz coins, but I'm not sure I'll make it (I won't, I have a lot going on this week).  

If you want one of these coins, I strongly suggest you order one soon.  They will be sold out by the end of the month with near certainty and likely before.

I am currently planning to have the 10oz Minted Seats removed from the NastyShop in ~48 hours.  If you want to purchase one from the shop, I strongly recommend doing it in the next 24 hours, if you wait much longer than that your ability to do so will no longer exist.  The 1oz seats aren't far behind either...  We are nearing last call to get your hands on Minted Seats of any variety.
