Yeah I know Indonesia is now cracking down on gambling of any kind including crypto casinos because the government often arrests the gamblers but never the bookies.

Where you expecting the government to applaud those gambling with government aids, instead of investing into what is meaningful. Just to confirm, Cash assistance mens the government sends money to some of her citizens from time to time?  If they do when it's not a pandemic like covid-19, then it's a useless initiative. I believe that perhaps in other countries the government would be stricter in its gambling policies, but I don't believe in the government in my country, from generation to generation the government always says good policies by promising them for better changes but it's just nonsense because what happens after they take their seats they only think about themselves and that happens every generation, in fact almost never has a government that is truly trustworthy in carrying out its duties. If anyone is found involved in gambling or providing money, their national identity will be confiscated and they will have to spend 5 years in jail. The government will tax everything and if casinos are generating revenue, then they will tax it too, and if people are winning, then they will also take a share from it, this is how the taxation works.

That’s the sad part, we can’t escape taxes from the government.

Even gamblers who don’t win often still get taxed when they hit it big. It feels like another version of the casino’s house edge, just in a different form.
But there’s really no way around it since it’s the law, and refusing to pay could even land us in jail.

If we’re looking for who’s most responsible to blame, it’s the government. If they allow gambling to operate and it ends up ruining people’s lives, then they’re basically profiting from people’s failures. And in the end, it still backfires on them because gambling addiction can lead to crime and social problems. So ultimately, the government should be blamed for not properly regulating the gambling industry and for letting things reach that point.
